Not a luxury stay, but decent hotel for a groupPosted Sep 25, 2014
This place is older and had seen better days; but if you are staying with a big group of people and mostly hanging out of the room, I'd day is worth the price. The decor is nice, but the furniture is old and the beds are motel quality. My partial view was nice, but the balcony furniture were a bit run down. So I wasn't sitting out much. The pool is wonderful and my little one loved the splash pad. I didn't care for the overpriced indoor food, but if your starving it satisfies. The few miles away from the town and grocery store, so plan ahead. The staff was very helpful and courteous, and the room is spacious.

Family FunPosted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: Pools, beach, parking
Cons: Plumbing Better mattresses
Location: Location was great. The drive in to Port Aransas was only about 10 minutes. The golf course was between town & the hotel and was very nice.
Great pools and close to the beach. The beach was very clean. The covered parking was very convenient to our rooms. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the utinsels one might need. The appliances seemed new as well. There were plumbing problems with one bathroom in our condo - water was leaking into bathroom beneath our condo on to floor below ours. We were asked not to use the tub/shower in that bathroom for the last 3 days of our 5 day stay. This made it necessary to do more sharing than necessay. Overall, the family had a gread vacation.

Great pool!Posted Jul 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
The updates that have been made to the pools are fabulous and very family friendly. However, not all of the rooms have been updated and it still feels like 1990 inside the rooms, which is disappointing.

Great vacation spot!Posted Jul 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
We took our 3 kids for 4 days and we all had a blast! Beach was right there the pools were huge and provided hours of fun! Rooms were beautiful, clean... very nice. Only concern was our bed was not new so wish we had a better mattress but that is not why we were there.. Will go again!

Fabulous pool area, but room needs updatingPosted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: Fabulous pools and direct beach access! Play pool areas for young children were great!
Cons: update rooms and add a playground for little children
Location: We wanted a relaxing vacation, so we stayed on the property most of the time.
Couldn't ask for a better pool/beach situation, but the room needs a great deal of updating. Sinks didn't have drain covers, paint peeling, black on windows, etc.

Awesome PoolPosted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Pool and rooms are great
Cons: Restaurant was not available and lobby needs improvement/upgrade. Drinks at the bar are not worth the money for the price.
Great hotel if you are looking for an awesome pool. My kids only last so long at the beach so this hotel is wonderful for spending time at the beach and then coming back to the pool. They have a great smokers/bbq pits (area) to cook out. Drinks at the bar are expensive and weak.

Should be all inclusivePosted May 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was very nice but needed to be all inclusive so u didn't have to travel to eat somewhere different. The resturant was expensive. The room and everything else was perfect. Would do this again!

Fun in Sum but too cold in the Water!! Burr!!Posted May 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
We had a great time. Everyone very helpful. Room was not ready on time so had to wait. They gave us 50$ credit to compensate for that. Pools were freezing. That is not there fault but end of April still too cold to go to beach if you are there to swim. Rooms are so fun! Lots of space for families to hang out and be together. I highly recommend Port Royal!!

nice condoPosted Apr 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
The two bedroom condo was really nice and meet all our expectation. The patio overlooking the pool was huge making it great for entertaining. The pool area was a hit with the family.
