"This is a good enough rental but with some touches could be so much better. The biggest problem we had were the stairs to the bedroom, and if you have to use the bathroom you will be using them to descend from the loft beds. They are very narrow very steep and the bannister has come loose. This is a real safety problem and impossible for many people Throughout our stay my wife kept saying well this is how French rentals are. So you understand there was no toilet paper no paper towels no shampoo...

"Very good stay in St Valery. The cottage was well situated, just a short walk along the river to everything. The peace was only broken by the train at the end of the garden and a seal having his breakfast outside one morning! The stairs are steep and a touch slippy - my teenage daughter fell once, but this had been flagged up by other reviewers, and no one else had a problem. Something to be aware of, if you have mobility issues. It is a charming house - clearly a lot of thought has gone into...

"Lovely clean property in good location. Our teenagers however were forced to share a room as the owner had blocked off the upper floor. Prior to staying I declined the cleaning package in writing, however the owner tried to add it to the bill when we were leaving."

"It was very spacious, but the whole apartment smelled as if there had been a leakage. The goose pond looked drab and the geese made alot of noise. The chairs at the pool were all broken, thee tennis court was expensive and so were the bicycles. On top of it, we had an accident with the blankets. We had taken the package including sheets etc. We asked for them to be cleaned. We had to pay € 24!"

"Fabulous property in a great location! Pictures don’t do the place justice, really high spec can’t find fault with anything! For dog owners, the garden was mainly enclosed but small gap which a small dog could escape under by the drive - if your dog was so inclined, mine wasn’t!!! If you book this property you won’t be disappointed!"

"Nous avons adoré notre séjour au Clos Mesnil. La maison est d'une propreté absolue, très confortable et bien équipée. Les lits et les canapés sont hyper confortables ; il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour faire la cuisine ; le poêle et les radiateurs réchauffe bien les pièces ; la douche est bien chaude ; la wifi fonctionne bien ainsi que le lave vaisselle. De plus, le jardin clos avec sa belle pelouse est très agréable pour les humains et les chiens qui peuvent y gambader gaiement sans aucun risque....

"Gîte spacieux, propre, calme et très bien équipé. A proximité de la mer et des supermarchés. Le terrain est très appréciable, d'autant plus lorsqu'on a des enfants ou des animaux. Une seconde salle de bain serait effectivement la bienvenue pour éviter les embouteillages :) Les 2 WC séparés sont bien pratiques. Hôte accueillant aussi bien à l'arrivée qu'au départ. Nous avons bien terminé l'année 2023 et bien commencé 2024 dans ce gîte."

"3 jours dans cette très belle ville de Mers les Bains où les habitants sont accueillants et respectueux de l environnement. Originale dans son architecture cette ville vaut vraiment le detour..La location très propre et suffisante pour deux ou 3 personnes. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. "well appointed apartment. Good facilities - good size - and a fantastic view over the sea. Staff very helpful - particularly Blaze (sorry if I've spelt it wrong) who was incredibly friendly and helpful. Only downside is that bedding and towels attract an extra change - it's within the detail of the Hotel listing so important that you read fully and consider taking your own if appropriate."
