beautiful viewPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: view of farmlands
Cons: hot water, mattress pretty poor
Location: not close enough to walk to but near kitchen kettle village, carriagehouse furniture, pleasant valley furniture, many antique shops, farmers markets &more
beautiful view, surrounded by farmlands, most of staff was friendly and helpful, room was nice but could be updated some, the only disappointing aspect was the lack of hot water in the morning to take showers (none)!would stay again for the view but would shower at night, hopefully the restaurant next door will be opened by then (remodeling)

hotel in Amish CountryPosted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: I liked where the hotel was located.
Cons: Carpets could be changed out. Kinda musty smelling.
Location: Bird in Hand which has an awesome farmers market is about 5 minutes away. Enjoying the beautiful Amish countryside is right outside your door.
This hotel is very old, and is not very modern. It is, however, surrounded by beautiful farms and you can hear the stead clip clop of the horses as they pass by on a very frequent basis. The rooms are clean.

Great locationPosted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: View looking over Amish corn farms, kids park, quiet.
Cons: Update furniture and bathrooms
Great location. Beautiful views. Lots of Amish horse and buggies trotting past. It's a bit old and musty. But a nice way to immerse ourselves into the area. Kids loved the playground and the corn fields

Location: There is so much to do and see. It was close to what we had planned for our stay in that area.
Room was clean. Room furniture from the past. Mattress was inter springs with a sag in the middle, very uncomfortable. No hot water to take a shower, not even lukewarm. TV worked, but was the old style, a big old bulky size. Breakfast consisted of hot water to make coffee, we don't drink coffee. No, we will not go back there and will not recommend it to any of our family or friends. I will say the staff was nice to us,but we did not complain to them because they probably don't own the place. Exterior could use a landscapers touch.

Nice place to stayPosted Jul 15, 2014
Just for the record... this is a Motel. It is slightly outdated but it is clean and comfortable. There is a nice area out back with a deck, playground, and open field. On a summer night it is lit up with fireflies, a beautiful sight to see. The location of the motel is among some Amish farms and its only a minute from the main road where you will find a ton of shops with Amish furniture, plenty of places to eat, and plenty of opportunities for a buggy ride. I would definitely stay here again.

clean, friendly and great pricePosted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: clean friendly and easy access to room for elderly parent who has trouble walking
Cons: carpet was clean but worn. if i were being extremely picky that could be replaced, and update bedspread to a "cleaner" feeling coverlet/blanket.
Location: beautiful location very close to center of town, easy drive to wherever we wanted to go.
i usually stay at high end nice hotels, this was the first motel I have stayed in in a very long time, but the price and location were great. my expectations were very low, but i was definitely pleasantly surprised. the room, while dated looking, was very clean, the staff was friendly and the location was perfect. quiet, peaceful and beautiful view of farmland, i sipped coffee in the morning and watched buggies go by....perfect way to begin the day in Amish country.

a bit disappointingPosted Jun 30, 2014
Nice and quiet and in the pretty country, but the front lobby smelled terrible, like pee and our room smelled mildewy. The air conditioner was so loud we had to turn it off but that was ok because it was so cold we were freezing and couldn't figure out how to turn it up. It was a very reasonable rate, but we were a bit nervous at night because there was no one to help if anything happened.
