We stayed in the Farmhouse and absolutely loved it. The room was clean and larger than we thought it would be. The private balcony was an extra surprise. The sunrise and moonrise, were amazing from our view. The staff were fantastic and we loved the fact we could eat in or take out, from Casey Jones. The food was awesome and the prices were reasonable. The cabooses were so cute and maybe next time we’ll stay in one. We will definitely be back.

It was fun to stay in a train car. The specific train car we were in seemed like it was not quite level throughout it. We also noticed there appeared to be a black substance (appears to look like mold) on the shower/bathtub on the wall side. There is feeding animals on the property and Amish style buggy rides which were a convenient and fun!

absolutely would recommend this to everyone! what a unique and wonderful way to make memories with your family! my kids (ages 18-3) loved the idea of staying in a train car! the property has the most amazing views, staff was so friendly and there’s so much to do close by! thank you red caboose!

Beautiful and very creative hotel and they ALSO HAVE AN AMAZING MUSEUM OF TRAINS RIGHT ON THE PROPERTY almost down if you walk!!! IT’S TRULY AMAZING AND COOL INSIDE!!!!! Great for little kids!!!!!! Property is wonderful and sooooo gorgeous and the hotel was clean inside too! Good air conditioner. The Only thing is they need to vacuum the rugs because I found someone else’s hair scrunchy under the bed and the rug looked not vacuumed and the AIR Conditioner needs to be cleaned some mold and dust was inside a little… other than that AMAZING place and they also have free concerts outside by the tall cilo as well as the STRASBURG RAILROAD TRAINS that run on schedule and a FREE PETTING ZOO with some very cute cool animals!!!!!!

A great experience. We were exhausted and hungry. This was a great fix. The bed in the corner was the only draw back but we managed. It was very comfy. The food at the restaurant was so very delicious. The coffee was so good and I have to recommend the pancakes. We will go back for sure

It was very unique staying in a caboose, so you really go for that experience. We did not do the restaurant so cannot speak for the food. The bed mattresses were very thin and uncomfortable and so were the pillows. Even the kids were uncomfortable and kids can usually sleep on anything. Our caboose was one of the larger and nicer ones. I think it def matters which caboose you have because they are not all the same. It is an experience that we laugh about now, but would not go back.

There were 3 separate bedrooms that allowed for privacy. One room had a balcony that enabled you to enjoy the lovely view. The rooms were comfortable.

My family and i stayed 2 nights in car 31 with 2 grandsons and the 2nd night my 1 grandson slept with my wife and i and the 2nd slept on the floor because of bugs in the bunks. The door had a large gap at the bottom. The door sweep was ripped and when you took a shower, you slid towards the drain. Was very disappointed after we saw how nice car 20 was which other relatives stayed in.

The Red Caboose Motel is very cool. We absolutely loved the 48 caboose and train car rooms. The Casey Jones Restaurant was very good. The food was very delicious. The Strausburg Railroad is minutes away and is also really cool and informative. There is plenty to do there and in Lancaster. We will definitely be returning back in September for “A Day Out With Thomas “ with our son. We’ve already booked another caboose room for that weekend. And at Christmas time we’ll be taking a ride with Santa and Mrs.Clause.

This is a cool motel, staying in a train car. You are surrounded by farmland and beautiful sunsets. It is a quiet, peaceful area, and you can hear the strasburg train during the day. The property includes the cabooses, small playground, petting zoo, viewing tower, open space, and a couple patios. Lots of places and things to do, all within 10 minutes of motel. The food at the restaurant is not good and it’s overpriced, but there’s plenty of restaurants with good food in the area! Try Katie’s Kitchen - best place to eat!

Only problem we had was that the sun was beaming through our windows and the air didn’t cool it down it felt like a sauna. Every other cabboose seemed to have window covers except ours
