A cheap hotel that is still overpriced! One starPosted May 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
My first impressions of the hotel were poor from the outset - the hotel faces a busy train track and is above a nightclub in an ugly part of town. Upon entering the hotel the receptionist failed to acknowledge our presence for 5 minutes and when she did she was rude. Our first room we were allocated was in a fire escape, no word of a lie. There was a big green light above our door, a special entrance panel and then a second door that, if there were an emergency, people would be able to get out of through our room. This second door had a hole punched in it. The second room we were offered was better, but was still dirty. There was a hole in the wall where a plug socket had been removed but not replaced. The TV did not work and the facilities were extremely dated. The sound of the train was incredibly loud and it was impossible to sleep -especially as the window did not fully shut. I have never stayed in a worse hotel in my entire life, it was cheap, but not THAT cheap that it was worth that standard. The cleaners were smoking inside and absolutely stunk, the general level of hygiene was poor. I thoroughly enjoyed the town of Colmar itself, it is picturesque and beautiful, but I would not recommend this hotel to even my worst enemies.

You get what you payPosted Apr 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stay here for 2 nights. The room need more clean. First day the room was dusty, and someone come the clean in the 2nd day, it became much more better. A bit noisy if you open the window. 5 mins walk from train station. The breakfast was too expensive, 8eur to get some breads and tea. Everything is fine, you get what you pay, don't expect too much. Last but not least, the shower sprinkler should get a stand!

Convenient to train station, nothing specialPosted Sep 3, 2013
It was clean and comfortable, but with lots of noise from the immediately adjacent rail line. Staff were neither pleasant nor awful, just fine. Bed was very comfortable.

fairly small but good roomPosted Jul 27, 2013
Location: Close to train station
Wi Fi didn't work for periods of a few hours at a time. At check out they want you to pay before they give you an itemized bill. So if they try to charge you for things you did not use (such as the two breakfasts I did not have ) you need to be alert!

Clean and comfortablePosted Jun 27, 2013
The hotel is right by the railway mainline but there are 2 sets of double-glazed windows so noise isn't a problem provided you keep them closed. It's 5 minute walk to the centre (Musee Unterlinden etc) or to the train station - follow signs for Hotel Colbert (which is what the hotel used to be called and the street direction signs and some of the hotel's branding and signage haven't caught up yet).

GOOD LOCATION, GOOD VALUE.Posted Apr 13, 2013
Pros: The location and the price.
Location: Convenient and accessible.
Accessible, at edge of historic center. Ample free parking in front of hotel after hours. Excellent breakfast at reasonable cost. Perfect to visit historic Colmar and to take a tour of the Route du Vin.

Room was clean and comfortable. Corridors and carpets were shabby. Breakfast for 7€ was great value and staff friendly and helpful.
