“Not impressed. terrible beds, A/C leaked onto carpet, no hot water, don't book”

Expedia said all matresses were tempupedic. They were not. Hotel moved us to different room with tempupedic mattresses, but the A/C leaked onto the carpet and made a huge wet spot in front of the door that we had to walk through. There was no hot water. Maintainance was called about both problems and did nothing about the A/C and explained that the boiler had been turned off and that's why there was no hot water. The hot water issue was really a problem. The room was not very clean and the hotel service was not impressive. The hotel does have a shuttle, but it only runs until 10:30 pm, so if you plan to stay out late, be ready to use the light rail or take a cab. Very disappointing because this weekend was for my friend's 40th birthday. Won't be going there again and will be more careful about what Expedia promises in their ads by calling hotel to be sure the information is accurate.

“Very pleasant”

Clean, friendly downtown hotel. Room was quiet, bed was VERY comfortable (thanks to memory foam mattress). The free Shuttle service to downtown locations dropped us off right at the home plate gate of Minute Maid park, then picked us up outside of a pub after the game. Made life much easier, and saved us the cost of parking at the game.

“Party Hotel”

The front desk person on check-in was short and rude. The first night our floor was loaded with large parties, numerous people to a room. Slamming doors all night, loud talking and music. There were other people on the floor with kids who while I felt sorry for, obviously the hotel did not care. I only wondered if a hooker walked in the wrong room, would you have to pay for her. After two calls and talking to the front desk person who assured me the problem would be resolved the parties continued. I then went to the front desk only to find the desk person sleeping and snoring at the front desk. I was happy to see someone was getting a good night sleep. Finally after 4 hours and 4 calls to the front desk, we demanded the police be called. So at 5am we finally were able to sleep. It was more so because the party goers went to bed, than anything the hotel staff did. We switched rooms for the next night and found the outlet by the computer desk didn't work. The high speed internet is by cable not WiFi so you have to plug-in. 90% of the TV stations on the TV are analog so don't come in clearly. However, there is a strip joint about 4 blocks away, we found while looking for food. It is a gay strip joint. There are no places to eat nearby. It's a downtown hotel that should be out on a deserted highway. There are plenty of other cleaner, nicer, hotels with a staff that cares close-by for the same rate.

“A great location and in walking distance to fun bars/restaurants. Shuttle service is a plus!”

The Crowne Plaza was convenient to many attractions. The shuttle service provided access throughout downtown. The hotel staff was very helpful and the room was very clean. We had a fun stay in Houston.

Midtown was in walking distance and a lot of fun. We found bars/restaurants and trendy boutiques.

“Very impressed”

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were large & nice, the bed was awesome. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. We will definitely stay here again.

“Excellent hotel”

This hotel is located at downtown in Houston. You can take shuttle which is totally free to many attractions in downtown area. Also it is convenient to take bus to Space Center.
