Fantastic location in downtown Indy, close to numerous restaurants. Hotel staff was great, very friendly, helpful with directions, quick check in and out. Needed a razor, called and had one in a couple of minutes. Room was very quiet, even though close to vending. Room looked recently updated, free wifi was great.

"Perfect Resting Place During A Great Trip"
From check-in to check-out this was one of the best experiences we have had traveling. All of the staff from front deck to housekeeping to hostess at breakfast were kind, concerned for our comfort and friendly. I so enjoyed the full breakfast with all of the choices, I loved the comfortable atmosphere and the room was set up so well. I will be making my reservations there for next year when we return for the 100 Indy race. Thank you and God Bless

"Hotel has a good north side Indianapolis location"
We just stayed one night. Staff was friendly enough. Room was disappointing in that this is an older hotel. As we walked up to the room it was obvious the sheer curtain was frayed from age in the front window. This room was OK for our one night stay but I am not sure about a long term stay. We left early in the morning so we did not partake in the breakfast that was provided. The breakfast buffet did look good.

"Nice hotel, check credit card!"
My friend got married this weekend, so all the bridesmaids and the bride stayed in one of the rooms. The room itself was great. We booked a queen suite so all of us were able to stay comfortably. In the morning, I checked my checking account to see that the incidentals charge the front desk said would be $20 was actually $160. When I checked in the night before, she kept running my card and I asked if it was processing, she said it wasn't and proceeded to swipe it and mumble to herself. Then I saw the charges and spoke to someone different. He said it would go back on my car within 5 days and couldn't provide me a receipt. It was a mess, especially to be out an additional $140 for the next 5 days waiting on the refund.

The hotel was very nice and very clean but I had to take cold showers. I never seemed to get hot water. Staff was ok but a little short when you needed assistance or had questions. Overall had no trouble, but I was also given a handicap room when one wasn't necessary.

"Wonderful stay for a night!"
We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back! We went the Sunday of the Indy 500 - but didn't realize that the 500 was even that weekend. But you'd never have known that one of racing's biggest events was even taking place. The hotel was quiet (as was the city) and it was truly enjoyable! We can't wait to go back to the Hilton - and stay for an even longer visit!

Best and Worst Times to Visit Indianapolis

Summertime brings warm temperatures in the 90s F and high humidity, but that doesn’t stop vacationers from flocking to this Midwestern state from June to August. Early summer is also when the famous auto races take place, such as the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race, which tend to draw even more tourists to the area. If you don’t mind dealing with balmy weather and coping with the crowds, summertime is a great time to visit Indianapolis.

For cooler temperatures, lower humidity, and fewer visitors, fall is a prime time to vacation in the Circle City. Spring also brings pleasant temperatures between the 50s and 70s F, but this season does see an increase in rainfall and sometimes even tornados. Avoid visiting during the winter months, unless you’re a fan of frigid temperatures and snowstorms. While the city becomes a winter wonderland during this time, the snowfall could put a damper on your travel plans.

    Things to Do

Regardless of the weather outside, it’s always a good time to visit one of Indianapolis’ many museums. Begin with a visit to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Hall of Fame Museum, which details the history of one of the city’s most famous attractions. Then head to the Indianapolis Museum of Art and explore more than 54,000 masterpieces. While you’re in town, get a sense of the region’s past at the Indiana State Museum, and if your kids are in tow, check out The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

After exploring all the indoor attractions, get out in the fresh air. Venture over to the Central Canal, which dates back to the 1840s. Stroll along the walkway and find yourself in the White River State Park. Next, hike the trails at Eagle Creek Park, or mosey through the historical Lockerbie Square. During your stay, don’t miss a race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the city’s pride and joy.
