So many to choose from so stay somewhere else

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Nothing I can think of
Cons: Everything
Location: Good location lots to do
On arrival told we were being given an upgrade to executive room, how pleased we were until we saw it. Old, shabby and definitely not large. I could only imagine what the stNdard rooms were like?! We asked for turndown as all towels had been used and needed more toiletries etc but on our return from a Party at 1.00am we were greeted to the same mess we had left. The breakfast was fine, but it is everywhere in Israel. There was so little space round the small pool that we didn't get anywhere near on either day. There was a better section of the hotel. The "B" section but obviously we weren't given that area. Also there are no windows anywhere which is such a shame in such a stunning city. Even the window in our room was tiny.

Excellent. Everything

The hotel has excellent location and service. A got a recently renovated room which was excellent in all aspects. It is the best choice in the 200-300 usd range. Good parking, internet and excellent breakfast. I would definitively stay there again. I run a hotel chain in Mexico and appreciate their effort in making the hotel what it is. Mazaltov.

Our first stop in Israel.

We were expecting a 5star hotel and while.the location was great this was bu no means five star. The lobby was very nice and comfortable and seemed to be much more recently remodled than the rooms. They are.in serious need of remodeling. As well as remodeling they could really use a thourough cleaning- very dirty. The staff were fine- not rude but not overly friendly and welcoming. We will not stay here again..

First Class Hotel in convenient location

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Elevators were speedy; breakfast was bountiful; desk clerks accommodating.
Cons: Could not open window in room; an additional restaurant for dinner; fresh air rather than using air conditioner.
Location: Restaurants one block away; Mamilla Mall - a short walk with upscale shops and restaurants - at the end of the Mall was the entrance to the Old City!!

This is not a 5 star hotel

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Good location .
Cons: Staff in reception were not friendly or helpful in anyway .
Location: Jaffa gate 15 minutes walk or take a short cut through the park . Small supermarket nearby and handy .
Stayed here for 5 nights with my wife as we wanted to be as near to the old city as possible . Good 15 minutes walk to Jaffa gate or you can take a short cut through the park . Nothing special about the hotel except for the good location . Staff in reception were not helpful or friendly . Breakfast was ok . There is a small supermarket near the hotel. Good public transport access with bus stop outside the hotel or go to Jaffa gate for buses to Bethlehem . We walked a lot , used buses and light railway . People are friendly , helpful and there was never any fear of our safety .

Good location

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Location & Elliot at the desk.
Cons: Housekeeping.
Location: You can walk everywhere from this location.
Well located for walking to many sites & the Old City. Elliot at front desk was outstanding. The rest of the desk staff, not always as helpful. Good sized room. However, housekeeping could be better. On arrival, a nice welcome tray of fruit. However, during course of 5 day stay, the plates & utensils were not changed. Used napkin was refolded on a plate with crumbs. Had to speak to staff to remove. Breakfast was very good.

Pros: location
Cons: lower the price.
Location: close to old city
Awesome location, clean rooms. Older part is quite dated, so ask for the room in new addition.

Passover in Jerusalem

Posted Apr 29, 2014
Pros: The bed
Cons: The breakfast buffet and the room condition.
Location: The hotel is located in the center of Jerusalem near the old city and many other sites. It is a strong point for this hotel.
The hotel room I took was for two people. Coming from the US, I was not aware that hotel rooms could be so small. Even though it was small, it had a comfortable bed , small desk and chair and a large bathroom. Overall the room was ok but I was surprised by a number of small issues. 1) The complimentary water was randomly replaced. I would expect them to either replace the water bottle every day (since the price of the room is the same for one day or 16) but during my stay, it was replaced only 3 times (though I finished the bottle every time it was replaced). 2) The window of the room would not lock and would open completely making it a safety risk had I had small children with me. One evening I arrived and the window was blown open since there was no way to lock it. Only then did I realize it was faulty. Since it was close to the end of my stay, I did not report it (room 801). 3) The dining room had a limited breakfast. This is partially due to Passover but even after the holiday the food selection would be random. Some days it was good and others they had too few choices.
