Fine for overnight stop

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Clean, inexpensive, and well located for access to restaurants and highway.
Cons: Friendliness and availability of staff.
Location: See above.
We arrived after dark after a long drive, and just wanted to have a clean place to sleep. This hotel offers free parking and wi-fi, and breakfast is included, so we thought the price we paid was very reasonable. It is very close to a variety of restaurants. There was no one at the desk when we arrived, so we had to ring for service. The girl who came was tired-looking and did not smile at all. However, she did provide details about local restaurants when asked. When we left the next day, there was again no-one at the desk. As we had paid in advance, we just left our keys and departed.

Disappointing

Posted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: Cozy beds, nice looking room
Cons: Fix TV and smoke detector! Customer service!
We arrived after a long drive with 2 children, only to find that our TV didn't work! Staff came to room and played with remote; couldn't get it to work. Said someone would come at 10 pm to fix it....this person never did show up. We have never stayed at a hotel that didn't have a working TV!! The smoke detector was also hanging from ceiling; had to make sure it worked. Disappointing because the room was actually quite newly renovated. Complained at check-out; clerk not sympathetic. Said "all we had to do is turn cable box over and re-set with button on bottom"! Why don't the staff know this???? He told us he would reduce the rate he charges Expedia...still waiting to see if that translates into a savings for us!

Not impressed

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Not impressed , because We didn't like it for a couple of reasons , first one that the sealing between rooms is terrible and one family with kid above our room woke up us at the middle of night with noises , the second thing that We disliked is the breakfast was terrible.

Roadside stop only.

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Location is the only good point.
Cons: Everything. The staff didn't seem at all interested.
Staff at front desk were slow, didn't even know Alberta (the next province) was part of Canada. Everything was done to a mediocre standard. The room was standard and the continental breakfast was not very good. There are many other choices nearby that are better.

There for baseball tournie

We enjoyed our stay to some extent but want to comment mostly on the gentleman working at the desk. He did an outstanding job and seemed to be a "one man show". He was booking people in and out, cleaning breakfast tables, stocking breakfast items, sweeping out front. He should be commended!!! Not sure where everyone else was?!

Quality Inn Kamloops Experience

Posted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: The convenient location to highway access and local restaurants
Cons: The continental breakfast
Location: the hotel is located close to a shopping mall.
Our stay was brief, only two nights. The hotel was conveniently located and close to restaurants, gas stations and the main highway. Unfortunately the weather was not conducive to the use of the swimming pool, but we did spend an hour enjoying the water until another storm blew up. The continental breakfast was a little disappointing, it would have been better if a couple of hot items could have been provided for example pancakes and sausages.
