small room- but this hotel has character , pretty old.... change from what i am use to.... had a very small bathroom.... parking sucks, all the spots were used up so i parked on the street instead of paying at the lot they advised.... just had to be out by 9 am or they ticket you.... breakfast was great , and free ! . ... room rate was also great

Do not waste your money on this facility, I'm not sure how this hotel is still open!!! It is dirty, parking is not safe, even the overall smell of the room is bad. It will be a good idea for a city inspector to do a full audit to make sure the place is code compliance and not a safety hadzard.

The building could be cool since it is a heritage building but the place is dirty. There was a dirty cleanex on the bed when we arrived and there were wires hanging from the ceiling where there should have been a smoke alarm. We were happy it was a quick rest stop for us.

The location of the property is nice as far as walkability goes, however the actual property itself does not appear to be well maintained (dirty carpets). The bed sheets in my room were dirty, as was the spare blanket in the closet. Parking is also not included in your stay, it is an extra expense at the front desk. Make sure you let them know that you have a vehicle because if you don’t, you may get a parking ticket (they do not ask upon check-in).

This turned out to be a very good stay overnight. I was traveling with an 87 yr old friend. We came up to see someone in the hospital. At first driving up I could tell my friend was concerned. First the cannabis store then we turned to corner to also see a liquor store and a lot of homeless ones sadly. But we were greeting warmly and asked to see the rooms which we found to be very clean. It as quiet overnight and the beds were comfortable. The next day the road in front was closed for a farm market and we had a delicious breakfast just across the street. 👍 i think by adding some period appropriate awnings over the entrance and the two stores it would provide a little more class and be more inviting.

The hotel is an old hotel (over 100 years old) but has been remodeled. It was absolutely beautiful inside. There was complimentary breakfast which was great. We had to do on street parking - they could have had more hotel parking. I would certainly stay here again and recommend it highly.

Built in 1928 and the original Otis elevator still runs like a top. Walking into the lobby, lounge/restaurant and the hotel is like walking into history. If only the building could talk… Great reception staff and lounge server (needed help as she had to run like crazy to keep up with the guests’ needs. It’s far enough away from the train yard that one is not disturbed by them. Would highly recommend this hotel

Do not stay at this hotel if you have a vehicle. The parking lot (which you have to pay extra for) is a homeless encampment. A crowd gathered to watch us unload our car and we felt very unsafe. There were persons defacating in the lot. We left the hotel immediately and forfeited our payment. The staff seemed unsurprised, saying many people say the same and suggested we go park at the hospital instead. Later, we ran into a police officer who advised the hotel is terrible because it has a bar on site and they called most nights to respond to a robbed vehicle or a bar fight. This property should not be listed on any reputable website.

Has potential to be a quaint historic boutique hotel - but instead it's just run down. Lots of little things wrong (iron doesn't work, security latch on the door broken, air con not effective, bathtub finish extremely worn). Service is "okay" but slow to respond

An old building that appears to have been renovated for rental. The carpets were filthy and the floors in the room were dirty, raising questions about the general hygiene of the place. The elevator is antiquated and had problems.

No staff at the front desk when we arrived and when checking out. Tried to call the phone number in case someone will pick up. No one came. Terrible customer service. This hotel beds are old as well. Not a very pleasant stay.
