Lake Tahoe, California Hotel Rooms at the Independent

As a first time Tahoe visitor, I definitely recommend staying by the Marina since this area is less commercial than by the casinos. Tahoe Beach and Ski is right next door with restaurants and bars around them. They have a beautiful private beach where you can watch the Tahoe Queen depart and arrive or simply enjoy the scenery. They have water view BBQs, pool and jacuzzi as well as a ping pong table. The room was newly renovated, clean and functional. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately only about 6 or so of their room have a water view so not much you can do about that. The only other thing that I think needed development was the Acitivities which probably needed a revamp to cater for all demographics. Overall, great stay. I would come back and stay here again!

The staff were very professional, friendly and courteous. The rooms were nice and clean but not extravagant. It had the amenities I want but not a lot of frivolous stuff I neither want or need. A very nice place to stay.

We love this ski in ski out full kitchen family style home environment! And the tub with jets- yay! Perfect after a ski day!

It feels like home. Very comfortable and spacious. More than just a hotel room. Nice to have a full kitchen.

located on lake tahoe the lodge offers beautiful views from the restaurant, lounge, breakfast place and rooms. the room was comfy and had a fireplace. the staff cleaned and prepared the fireplace (as well as the room) every day. there is a good breakfast included, served in a special lounge on second floor, and is very well attended by a member of the staff. generally the lodge is decorated pleasantly with mountain/hunting elements and pictures. the restaurant and bar of the hotel are good and there are two good cafes across the street as alternatives. overall, quite satisfied and would like to go back.

This place was wonderful! Cozy, great room decor, quiet, the management was unbelievable and wanted to make sure we were comfortable and happy. They were great! hot tub was nice at night, little mini fireplaces added to the comfort. Continental breakfast consisted of muffins and bagels and was very tasty. Great price and spectacular location! Walk over to nephelle's for a cocktail. just down the road from Heavenly. Definitely a must. Staying here again in August.
