"We had a wonderful weekend stay at The Shire! Mike was so welcoming and personable. The property was beautiful and spacious and the house was perfect. Our family of 6 stayed there for a long weekend. The kids loved the basketball court and huge yard to play catch in, the swing overlooking the pond, and the huge and very spacious garage where they played ping pong and bag toss! "Great location. Fully outfitted. The deck and yard need work. The bushes are not maintained and the deck was very dirty when we got there. Bluefish cleaned it but it should be power washed. The gutters were dripping on the deck stairs the whole time even though it only rained the first"

"The Yale security door lock wasn't working properly. I was locked in my room and couldn't open the door to get out. The manager (who was very nice and apologetic) had trouble getting it unlocked as well. Almost had to crawl through the window to get out. Since they were at capacity, there was no other room available. I moved to another room the next night and no problems. The air conditioning units were loud but worked well. This is an old but remodeled property."

"This is a very cozy and quiet place in the South Bend area about 10 minutes from Notre Dame. There are horses on property which are nice to look at and thick woods behind. The house is fully loaded with everything you need, towels, pots and pans, cooking utensils, glasses, etc. There is even a grill on the porch. The tv has basic channels, and the wifi is strong and reliable. The owner is a nice lady and will try to assist with whatever accommodations you need. It can easily sleep a large...
