We stopped here overnight on a long road trip. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Gas and anything else we needed nearby.

Good value for the price old but clean

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Low price Close to Sudbury Clean
Cons: Updates could be made but that would increase price.
Location: Close to Sudbury, shopping, sight seeing etc.
Was surprised to find fridge and microwave in room. Good for one night stay close to Sudbury at much better price then what you would find in Sudbury.

Pros: Nothing
We did not stay here. Had a room booked but when we arrived we did not get the room we had booked. We booked a King bed but could only get a Queen. Room smelled so strongly of chemical cleaners & air freshener couldn't breath so we cancelled our booking & went elsewhere.

Easy access to highway.

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable bed
Cons: the shower looked mildewy so we didn't use it
Location: Didn't explore this at all
We stopped in Sudbury to see a niece and breakup the drive from to Toronto to northern Ontario, which was about 10 hrs. We wanted a place to stay that had good access from the highway we came in on, as well, to the highway we would be taking that morning. This met both criteria very well.

Poorly Ran

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: The person[Owner?] at the front desk was very pleasant/ continental brkfst was good
Cons: Upgrade the entire hotel and at least make sure there are room phones and a working internet/maintain grass & lot.
Location: Fairly convienient with stores nearby/not much in the way of retaurants
Looks as if the the Hotel was bought at a fire or bankrupsy auction. Seem to be run by just 1 man and his wife. Don't think all of the rooms were available to be rented out. Whatever work had been done to the rooms , by way of workmanship was of poor quality[ what I would call a jack knive carpenter]. Looked as if the grass had not been cut for at least 3-4 weeks/ parking lot needed a lot of repair/no phones in room/internet only worked at front desk/the list goes on and on.

Not so " Red Carpet" inn

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Cons: Badly needs updating and stained covers and blankets replaced!
The room was very dated and the covers had stains. The staff did change them for us when asked. Phone in the room was not working.

We will not stay here again

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything. Security, cleanliness, breakfast, quality of linen, get rid of hidden charges.
We would not stay here again. Felt 'overcharged for quality of hotel' The $70 that I agreed to on Expedia ended up being $107. -did not mention surcharges for each person per night. (I did pay an extra $15 for my pet-which is usually $10 at much nicer hotels) Spider carcass on bathroom floor. Hot breakfast consisted of waffles only. Horrible pillows. Sheets that pull off corners. Clautrophobic room -windows don't open. Exterior doors to rooms/hotel entrances do not lock -felt unsafe.

Good for the price

Room was clean but very old fashioned and had an old smoke odour. Good price though and I would book again.

Handy spot between Espanola and Sudbury

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Location and Price
Cons: Maintenance is needed. continental breakfast could be upgraded.
Location: Don't know about this. We were only passing through
Although the hotel could use some maintenance, for one night, it's a good place to stay. Nearby are a grocery store, Tim Hortons, Subway, and New Orleans Pizza. The hotel has a restaurant that we didn't try. If you wan to eat better, you'll need to go to Sudbury or Espanola.
