Tired but happy

Posted Sep 27, 2014
We arrived after traveling for 18 hours. The desk person, Leena, was cheerful, courteous, and kind. The room was a good value and the breakfast was excellent.

need a clean place to stay the night

Posted Sep 26, 2014
Pros: ...
Cons: Secret shop the staff and find the unprofessional ones, work release kickback or not, some of them are killing your business. Better sheets!
Location: There is a mall and a highway that leads to San Francisco with about 45 minutes of travel.
Without Expedia, Four Points cheapest room was $215, Expedia $140. Location was acceptable but not eventful. The front desk clerk had a snarl for a greeting, without detail - unprofessional. The elevators are at least 400 yards away from the front desk / entrance. The place is big but not well thought out. 1st room had a smell that made my nose burn and it had stained sheets, heavily stained. I came up in a lower middle class family with plenty of hand-me-downs, I don't think that was dirt or grime that made those stains. After the 1000 yard walk to and from the front desk to the next room, I would call it mediocre. A little better than the old school mom and pop I stayed at in 29 Palms just outside of Death Valley, but Four Points accommodations did feel any better than a motel 6. So if you need a place to crash, try this hotel, but don't be prepared for a gorgeous place, or one worth any more than $140.

Great area of SFO.

Great location for walking Fisherman Wharf. But if you want a room with a view - you better ask for one. Funny how the prices don't change according to views. My room looked out unto the air system for building.

First time stay

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Nothing in specific. Ovearll was just ok.
Cons: Lower the rates!! Too pricey for a 2.5 star which I rate. The hot tub was broken. :(( Also provide continental BF.
Location: Centralize which is good. Near stores and restaurants which made the short drive convenient.
I sure was disappointed to enter the hotel and the room that was not spaciouse and nothing like the pics on line!! I was expecting a 4 star and it sure didn't look anything like it.

Pros: Leaving it.
Cons: Total renovation
Very disappointing. Rooms are grubby and showing their age.

Poor service in the hotel restaurant

Posted Sep 2, 2014
When we waited to be seated in the restaurant after a night's stay, the server who greeted us simply asked us to take any table outside ourselves without showing us to the table. OK fine. When it was apparent that we were ignored by the servers coming and going, we left our table and went to fetch food from breakfast buffet. We fetched our own serve ware as well as drinks. Amazingly, the only time a server came to our table after our breakfast of at least 20 minutes was to present the check. It was apparently the same situation with another group at a nearby table. They looked to be of South Asia origin. A different group of four white guys who arrived after we do got served promptly.

A few things missing...

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: Good location.
Cons: See above.
Location: Shopping and restaurants nearby.
We thought this hotel had a few problems. One was an unusually noisy air conditioner. Some things we were accustomed to in a good hotel (and present at a Holiday Inn Express) were missing such as a refrigerator, a second bar of soap, and a bathroom fan. The complimentary breakfast was above average but with some unappetizing eggs.
