Stayed two nights with friends. Quiet, gentle place, great for a get-away-from-it-all couple of days. Accessible from Queen Charlotte Track (45mins), but main access is by lodge water taxi (extra charge NZ$55 per person return). Stayed in Kakariki Chalet. As shown on their website, clean, comfortable, quiet. All staff made us welcome.

We had a lovely stay at this place with our 3 month old baby. They were able to supply a cot and also they had a high chair for breakfast, although our little one was too young for his. Also, they were very reassuring that in the room we had, there was no chance of her disturbing other guests (something I am always worried about). The continental breakfast was lovely and plentiful both mornings and the owners were very helpful about the things we could do in the town. Our room was spacious and comfortable and very clean. Both owners were so welcoming and helpful. Felt very homely.

Hosts Diane and Rob were very welcoming and provided great suggestions for cycling and restaurants. B&B was on a quiet street in a subdivision and so peaceful with beautiful gardens and birds trilling. My best sleep of our trip so far.

After a short windy 30 minute drive from the Picton ferry terminal, up a steep driveway to the most amazing B & B you could hope to find. Hop out of the car and you go Wow!!!. We enjoyed a very pleasant evening with another German couple that were also guests. Thoroughly enjoyed a superb evening meal and a great breakfast.
I chose to stay here as it is pet friendly, perfect choice!. We were all made to feel very welcome and nothing was a bother. The hosts Susie and Martin made us all feel at home in their truly beautiful home.
As a first time stay in a B & B, the experience could not have been any better than it was, hot tub great, large bedroom, sparkling clean bathroom, tea coffee facilities in the room and easy access to the outside areas.
You can appreciate the owners have put in a lot of hard work to the house and gardens, situated on 10 acres, you could sit outside and soak in the views all day if you had the time.
I would highly recommend this B & B to anyone seeking peace and quiet, my stay was for one night only, I would stay longer next time to explore the surrounding areas.
Great place to spend the last night of a holiday before having to head home.

Our stay at Angel Luxury Lodge was far more than we expected. Our room was luxurious with a wonderful cosy bed, enormous ensuite bathroom, walk-in robe and spectacular view over Blenheim. Danny and Kit went out of their way to make us at home in their beautiful home. Food was fantastic, Danny having owned her own Chinese restaurant for 30 years we had an huge meal served to us for dinner (extra cost but saved driving into town at the end of a long day). Their aim to make their guests happy and relaxed, something they do very well. Would certainly recommend their home and hospitality.
