Nice hotel close to the beach

Pros: close to the boardwalk
Cons: rooms need updating
Location: Great location Plenty to do
Right on the Myrtle Beach boardwalk Pier 14 is a really good seafood restaurant.

Great room with a great view of the ocean and Ocean Blvd. With only 2 elevators for 19 floors, you can expect to wait a whIle to go up or down. They are putting in another elevator, but we waited 40 minutes to go from the 9th floor to the ground level to checkout. The elevator issue alone is enough for us to write this one off our list.

The view from the balcony is unbelievable. They are working on putting in a 4th elevator which is desperately needed. The cleaning staff needs to get their act together though. Our too was only taken care of 2 out of the 5 days we were there. Our garbage was only taken care of when we said something.

Noisy and poorly planned

Awful. Room was standard and fine but everything else was horrible. Check in process was ludicrous. Tiny drive area in front where the have parking attendants let people leave their car blocking any way out while they check in and unload luggage. Unfortunately that can take forever because there were only two elevators for 19 floors and the wait times were awful. It took me 25 minutes sitting in my car before the car blocking everyone moved so i coukd drive to the oarking garage. 25 minutes is a long time with kids who keep whining about how they want to get in the pool. As for elevators, i was on 5th floor so i gave up and took the stairs the entire stay. Hotel VERY noisy. The street its on had motorcycles, revving engines, etc until well after midnight.

Location: Location is great, right at the beginning of boardwalk, right in front of beach, and close to entertainment.
Large room, full kitchen, seems newly renovated. Great location.

Super nice rooms and view!

To start out, the staff was really nice! Walking in though I found it odd there was no common/lounge area, just the front desk and pool area. The suite I got was really nice, with a great view! We were on the north side of the building on the 17th floor with two balconys and the view was of the board walk with the sky wheel and the ocean front. The suite was really nice with comfy beds and all the admenities needed to make your own meals and live comfortably. The hotel is right on the board walk and endless amount of things to do or places to eat, all within walking distance. Very pleased with my visit and I'll for sure be returning!

Hotel is a good location because it is close to the boardwalk. The area immediately around the hotel vicinity is shabby and a bit sketchy. Elevators are an issue. Often waited a long time for the elevator. Hallway carpets need to be updated a sell as the bedspreads and living room furniture.

Room size was very disappointing layout was bad

Pros: The location is great! Myrtle Beach have improve over the years, they now have a beautiful boardwalk & sidewalk on the beach side, no more sandy shoes
Cons: Update the rooms
Location: Ladies, Shop til you drop, make sure to go by Old Time Pottery
When I checked in there was an additional service charge I had to pay, the room was very small with a bad layout, they had vacancy sign on but told me no other room was available.(I willing to pay more) The refrigerator was very loud, had to go to front desk to either have it move from room or repair it since they would not give me another room and no way we could sleep with such low humming. They did send the serviceman to repair it. They had a microwave and coffee maker, but no coffee or tea, no utensils in the room either or dishes. There were only 2 elevators working, long wait, building was unconstruction working on elevator. The parking garage was located one block over, and it was cold and raining.These things stree us out entire weekend. There have been missing ladies in Myrtle beach and having to walk from the parking lot one block over to the hotel was a little to much at night. Make no mistake, I love Myrtle beach and it's great for short get-a-way and shopping.

Cons: Updated rooms, elevators, many doors to go through for some reason
Location: Bars, beach, boardwalk but a lot is closed in winter.
The best part of this experience was the indoor pool area for the kids to play at and the close proximity to the beach. Our room was fine but quite small, as was the patio. The DVD rentals was nice, but skipped a bit. The parking is across the street and there was a lot of construction going on. It was clean but not deep clean with stained ceiling tiles and grime around bottom of cabinets. For fun this was great but for relaxation or a getaway, I'd pass.

Excellent Accommodations for the price

Pros: The pool area was great, tho the pictures of the "lazy river" are deceptive, it is actually very small.
Cons: Get a different stand for the tv in the living area. It was set way back in a cabinet (in the room we had) and you could only see it from the couch
We stayed here in January, the slow season for this area and there was a lot of construction going on around the hotel. Even then we still enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area. The only thing I didn't care for was that the parking is a block away from the hotel. It is a keyed entry parking ramp so it is secure but just have to walk that block to the car. They do have a drive up area where you can unload you items or passengers if needed. The WiFi was a bit weak but it sufficed for the most part. The view is excellent as long as you have an ocean-front room. The room was well kept and clean, and the room service was ok. We only had service 2 days out of the 7 we were there but that was our choice.
