Nice and close to the beach.

Cons: Plumbing.
We stayed for 5 nights. The hotel staff was very polite and extremely outgoing. The food was delicious, we ate at all the restaurants. We did almost everything we could during our stay. It was amazing!! However, I am ready to address the problem with plumbing we had. Twice, in one day the water was shut off then came out black a few minutes later. Once during a shower and a little later when brushing teeth. This could have been due to construction, as it was happening during our stay.

Honeymoon Week!

Posted Mar 30, 2014
Pros: The rooms were really nice. The staff was friendly for the most part. The food was above average. It wasn't a loud "party" hotel...which was nice.
Cons: We were told one of the restaurants did not have any availability, but when we called ourselves 15 minutes later, they gave us several options.
Location: We took an excursion one day to Blue Lagoon Island and got to interact with a dolphin. It was lots of fun! If you do this, sign up for a morning time.
My husband and I went here for our honeymoon. We are in our early 30's and felt pretty young at this resort. I'd say about 75% of the people there were in there 50's or 60's...just fyi. We were looking for some place relaxing and not filled with kids or drunk college students.....this place is great for that. The pool areas are awesome. The food was good, but not the best I've ever eaten. However, I've been to another all-inclusive before, and this food was MUCH better. The private island was great. We did massages out there one day and really enjoyed it. One day we had rain and strong winds, so lots of the water sports were closed, as well as the private island ferry. The next day, it was beautiful, but still pretty windy....and they still had everything shut down b/c of the wind. That was pretty frustrating. There are 3 or 4 restaurants that require advanced reservations...MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS THE FIRST DAY YOU ARRIVE. One was filled up on our second day and we didn't get to eat there all week. There are cool firepits lit each night down by the beach. After dinner, we'd take a drink and go lounge by one of the firepits, it was pretty cool. Sometimes they had live music too....really relaxing. Overall, we enjoyed our time there. It was very chill, which we needed after planning a wedding. It's beautiful in the Bahamas! PS....the Bahama Mama's are waaaaay to sweet!

All inclusive resort

Posted Mar 27, 2014
Pros: I liked just about everything about this resort.
Cons: I would add a coffee bar. After spending all day drinking by the pool or at the beach, coffee would be a nice alternative. .
Location: Take the bus downtown for $1.25 each way. Skip the taxi for $40.00. Wander off the the main shopping street and experience the real island charm.
We stayed 5 nights. The staff were very polite and helpfull. They even reminded us to put more suntan lotion on. The food was good. Since it was all inclusive, we could eat and drink as much as we wanted. The rooms were clean. The most difficult thing we had to deal with was weather we swam in the pool or laid on the beach.

Relaxing.

Very relaxing. Had a wonderful time. We had one hiccup and it was taken care of. Glad we went. The only thing I would say is maybe have a little more nightlife.

All inclusive resort

Posted Feb 14, 2014
The staff was excellent and the facilities were clean and well maintained. There was entertainment provided, but for me there should have been more opportunities for dancing. The food was well prepared and nicely presented. Some of the dishes were a bit spicy for my taste.

Will never go to another sandals resort

Posted Feb 13, 2014
Who is on charge at this resort? I heard so many guest say they will never return. Make sure you make reservations for the restaurants right at check in, they fill up fast. Don't stay in room 626 Balmoral towers your room is on the back side of the elevator and electrical room. All night you hear the elevator go up and down . If you don't pay extra for butler service they don't care about you. Also all the employes will take tips, they work harder for you. I love a resort that prides themselves on no tipping. But this is the only way you get served .
