Great place to escape lifePosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Historic and nostalgic. The staff are amazing, but sometimes a little slow ("island time")
Best advice would be to make sure you have weather/beach appropriate clothing for when you land and get changed right away. We didn't and when our room wasn't ready for check-in the wait was brutal because of it. If we had the proper clothes we would have taken a walk on the beach or dip in the pool while we waited. Otherwise though everything was pretty amazing. The hotel is overall in great shape and the staff are all amazingly friendly and accommodating. Just be ready for a few things to happen on island time...aka sometimes they don't exactly rush to get things done. But after a couple days in paradise, you won't really care about the time anything takes anyways. Couple tips - grab beach/pool towels when they're around as they go fast. Store them in your room through the day and just use them as needed and dry them on the balcony if they aren't covered in sand. Bring an insulated coffee mug or cup to keep your drinks cool on the beach and so that you don't have to go back to the bar as often. When you arrive try and book all your dinner times and things like water sports as they fill up quickly. But again, all in all an amazing place with such friendly people. You'll enjoy every minute of escaping from life.

Plenty of Food & Premium Liquor!Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: The resort is close to the airport, it is all-inclusive and couples only. The off shore private island was the icing on the cake!
Cons: The Italian restaurant, Casanova, had poor service for us and the food did not look or taste like Italian.
Location: We took the 2.5 hour tour of Nassau. The fort at Port Charlotte was very interesting! This off resort experience was just right!
The Bahamas beaches are the most beautiful! We have traveled to Aruba, Antigua, Jamaica, Riviera Maya and Cabo San Lucas so we know beaches. Sandals Royal Bahamian has a short beach but they make up for it on the off shore private island. We went in September when there are less people and at one point we had part of the private island cove to ourselves! The drinks were always strong and the food was plenty! When we checked in, George made sure we received the room on the highest floor in the Balmoral with the ocean view as requested. Thanks George! Breakfast was served in two restaurants and both are great. Ashley at Spices was always fun and made our breakfast experience enjoyable. Natalyzia made sure our poolside drinks were always replenished if we didn't make it to the swim-up bar. This is our second Sandals resort we have stayed in. It's not as new as the one in Antigua, but still very nice.

Bahamas/SandalsPosted Aug 25, 2014
Newer rooms are very nice and updated. This would be cancelled out by the fire alarm going off 3 days in a row each in the middle of the night. The 3rd day the alarm went off at 2am, 4am and 6am- ridiculous. Resturants and food was good over all. Pool bars were great. Service was very slow would suggest they add an employee at each of the pools bars and even in the resturants. Water was beautiful, great for snorkel and swimming with the sharks.

AmazingPosted Aug 22, 2014
It was a very nice and everyone was very nice and helpful. Anything you want to do, you schedule and a bus will pick you up and take you back to the resort. You never really need to leave though everything is included. We will definitely go back!

Beautiful resort for relaxation and couplesPosted Aug 18, 2014
We enjoyed everyday if our stay and didn't want to leave! Restaurants were great and late night dancing at the pub was fun. We loved having drinks in our room and the friendliness of the staff. We received a free upgraded room when we arrived! We had an amazing time with lots to do and relaxation! We will be visiting Sandals again!

AwesomePosted Aug 18, 2014
We enjoyed our vacation immensely. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. The food was great. The pools and beaches were perfect. The only changes I would make... A better menu at Crickets and the Royal Cafe open for dinner. We don't always want a big meal. Also a microphone at the pool when only 5 people are playing the game was too much. At least there was another pool to use instead .

Nice relaxing beach resort.Posted Jun 8, 2014
Pros: Food, pools, beaches.
Cons: Better nighttime entertainment.
Facilities were very nice & clean. Pools were nice and plenty of chairs by the pool. Private island was also very nice with lots of chairs & couches. Restaurants were very good, food better than any other all inclusive that I have visited. NO buffets at night, al sit down restaurants. The nighttime entertainment was just OK. Had some bands and other entertainment in the theater. Would have liked more outdoor music at night and maybe a casino.
