Didn't Even Stay At This Hotel

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Stylish, very modern, staff was pleasant.
Cons: Cramped rooms.
Location: About a 30 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower if you're a slow walker, which I am.
I arranged a shuttle from the airport (by the way, check the rates before you book, as mine was significantly higher than what is posted on Expedia) and after the shuttle left I went to check in at the hotel. And was told that my room had flooded and I would be moved to their sister hotel via taxi at their expense. Fine, except I booked this hotel for it's proximity to the Eiffel Tower. They did throw in a free breakfast though. It was probably another 1/3 mile further from the tower. I stayed in their sister hotel, which was nice, but itty bitty. I mean, there was about a foot wide space to make it around the bed and in to the bathroom, which was also small. The shower was probably 2.5 feet by 2.5 feet, and slid open when you bumped against it, so water got everywhere when I showered. Also, if anyone above me flushed the toilet or ran the water, I could hear EVERYTHING, so I felt sorry for the people who were even lower than I was. The hotel itself was clean and well-kept and very stylish -- just small and not what I had requested. The staff was excellent and so nice, and gave me detailed directions back to the tower. Would not recommended because it was too small, but if you're a very small person or okay with cramped living quarters, it was okay.

Very nice hotel

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Quiet, clean, nice staff
Location: Eiffel towel
Very nice hotel in quiet neighborhood only 3 minute walking distance to Eiffel towel and 5 minutes to metro station Ecole Militaire (Number 8, pink line). Nice neighborhood with a lot of charming cafes and bistros. The staff was very helpful and polite. Room and bathroom were cleaned every day with a fresh clean towels.

Simple hotel, very close to the Eiffel tower

Posted Aug 28, 2014
All staff where friendly and helpful. It was difficult at times moving about the hotel as linen, laundry and buckets full of water were out lining the sides blocking the way. With no air conditioning the room was very hot at night and made it difficult to sleep.

Well located, value priced

Do not stay here in summer. No airflow, heat is unbearable and fan does nothing. Prior stay in Fall was fine. No not get the breakfast. Way overpriced compared to Caf├ęs around the corner and nearby. Needs better upkeep.

Nice hotel close to main attractions

Posted Jul 15, 2014
The location is good because it's close to the Eiffel Tower. Good value for money, especially if the budget is a bit tight. Was a bit noisy but was comfortable with a very nice shower. The bedding could have been a little more cleaner. The staff was lovely and there was a shuttle service provided to go back to airport. However the driver was late by about 15 -20 mins and then did not even drop us off at the right part of the terminal as previously agreed . We just got through security in the nick of time. So if taking the shuttle I would probably leave another 20-25 mins just in case.

Looked better online than what really was!

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Walking distance from Eiffel Tower.
Cons: Any construction should have been clearly listed online and mentioed at the time of booking. We would not have stayed there with a kid.
Location: Walking distance to Eiffel Tower, there are some good restaurants around.
No mention online that the hotel was under renovation. Wet paint all around and sharp smell. It was probably the smallest room i have ever stayed in. The door could not be opened completely because if was touching the bed. Not at all a kid friendly place with steep curvy stairs and elevator that cannot fit a full size stroller. For that price, many hotels are available around Eiffel Tower. I will look for some other place next time!

May be better soon

Hotel was in the midst of a remodel when we visited. The room I was in was tiny even by Paris standards - had to move a chair to on top of a desk to unpack my bag. No air conditioning but they do have a nice fan. Staff was very very helpful and friendly and the WIFI was incredibly fast.

Adequate for our needs, but would not recommend

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: There was a happy hour every evening from 6pm, where cheese and wine were served in reception. Reception was open 24hrs a day and in a safe area.
Cons: There was no air conditioning and the room was very stuffy overnight. Tea and coffee in the room. Bar in reception.
Location: A nice neighbourhood set back from the main streets, so nice and quiet. Only a couple of minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower and good restaurants.
As a base to visit Paris, it was adequate. The room was small, but clean. The hotel was being redecorated, so was a little shabby inside. There were no additional facilities in the hotel. We would stay again and experienced no problems.

The hotel was not maintained well and needs a lot of work. It could be very nice looking with some new wall paper, paint & carpet. The stair way carpet was very dirty & torn. The location was good. Too bad the hotel has not been taken care of! We would not stay there again.
