"I have booked with VRBO for years. The booking said Ski in and out with a renovated surroundings. First … walking down 2 flights of stairs icy wooden walkway , across a icy parking lot, up a bank of snow and down in ski boots is not what I call ski in and out. Close to slopes is one thing! Second, my family cooks in for meals. The pots and pans were dirty and awful. Didn’t have enough silverware or glasses! Mattresses in master and second bedroom were old and uncomfortable. "We came into town to see our friend play a two night show at Pickle Barrel. The place was perfect. Check in info was thorough and easy. Kim was great. She was responsive to communications and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here or one of her other properties again!"

"Stayed here with the family for 5 nights for midweek skiing. Have stayed in Sunrise before so we know we like the area. This unit gave us what we needed. Shame the fire wasn't working, but not the end of the world. The keypad door lock was great instead of needing a key. Would prefer regular toilet seats instead of squishy ones. They also don't stay up so have to be held. My teens would have liked the lock on the kids bathroom to work (it locked the handle, but the door could just be pushed...

Comfy (even the sleeping nook in the lounge, wonderful nights sleep had there!), well-equipped (everything you could need in the kitchen) and well-positioned to get to various corners of Vermont. The only downside is that the listing had ‘pool’ and other leisure facilities listed. These are over a mile away AND you have to pay to access them; this, to my mind, does not equate to the property having them. Just because there’s a private pool near...

"My family really enjoyed this Lake House. The beautiful views of the lake were breathtaking. The house had everything we needed for preparing meals. The kitchen was functional and generally well equipped. The beds in the house were particularly comfortable. We enjoyed early morning coffee on the deck with perfect views of the lake.
