Not up to Days Inn standards

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: Price and centrally located to areas I wanted to vist.
Cons: Coffe pot in all rooms. Upgrade of continental breakfast. Paint and spruce up the outside.
Location: Rutgers and Princeton Universities are within 15 minutes if you are planning on visiting them. I did not have any plans to do anything in the area.
I stayed in a single bed room. The room was clean but small. The king-size bed was ok but took up most of the room. The bathroom, however, was nice and large and generally clean. There were a few spots of black mold in the caulking around the tub. There was no coffee pot which is standard in most hotels anymore. Also no microwave or refrigerator which really didn't bother me but sure missed the coffee. There is Wi-Fi and a flat screen tv. The hotel sits off highway 1 which is a nightmare. Traffic is heavy all day long and bumper to bumper during peak hours. There are concrete barriers down the center of the four lane highway and no left turns are allowed so it is very difficult to get to the other side of the highway if there is a restaurant or store you wish to visit. The immediate area is an old commercial area and you won't be walking anywhere. The exterior of the building needs work especially the soffits over the walks which are rusty and in need of paint. The continental breakfast consists of coffee and a few rolls in the lobby. They did say they will be upgrading the breakfast and adding a dining area. If you are just looking for an economical place to stay and not worried about the frills it will meet your needs.

An ok hotel for an overnight stay !!!

Posted Sep 17, 2014
The Stay was ok. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was disappointing - donuts and cup cakes :( Bathroom did not have a lock. Beer bottle caps and cigarette buds lying on the corridors will not look inviting for a family. Should be fine for an overnight stay.

Very little for the price

Even if this falls into the budget hotel category, flimsy mattresses, sloppy renovations in bath, musty room smell, and non kid friendly breakfast makes this a place to skip.

Not very inviting

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Cons: The bathroom was not very clean (we didn't want to sit on the toilet ...)
Receptionist was not very friendly. Since things seemed a little shady around the hotel when we arrived late at night I asked for a room near the front desk. The room that we were given was the furthest away from the front desk. On top of that the dead bolt didn't work so we asked for a different room and got one even though receptionist had told us at our first try that the hotel was completely booked.

Needs to be cleaned

This hotel needs a make over, to over all condition is rundown and the rooms need a good overall cleaning. The daily cleaning is poor at best.

Good for the price we paid.

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: The cost was good and on highway 1 where we could get to the New Jersey Transit, shopping, and food. They did a nice job cleaning our room each day.
Cons: Not much of a breakfast even though that was included. Soaps, shampoos and Kleenex was either not in room or just a little of it.
Location: Shopping, Restaurants, Princeton University, New Jersey Transit, Kendall Park were all near by.
The room was small but fine for our needs. We were gone most of the time so did not need the extras (ie -- pool, workout room)
