Seoul, the capital of South Korea, is located about 200 miles (322 kilometers) north of Samho, while Jeju Island is 85 miles (137 kilometers) to the south.
To get a feel for the South Jeolla lifestyle hit the road and explore the landscapes and communities surrounding Samho. Mokpo, lies roughly 6 miles (10 kilometers) to the southeast. Take the trip there to experience the Korean International Circuit and Wolchulsan National Park.
Once you've fully explored Samho, why not visit the nearest regional city. Gwangju is approximately 35 miles (56 kilometers) away and is home to attractions including Guus Hiddink Stadium, Gwangju National Museum and Mudeungsan Provincial Park. Naejangsan National Park and Gwangju Art and Culture Center are also good spots for checking out while you are here.
