You'll feel on top of the world at this 4BR/2BA retreat, set high on a hill with panoramic views and a private pool!

Your vacation home is conveniently located only 20 minutes from downtown San Diego and 25 minutes from the beach. Inside, you'll find four spacious bedrooms, open-concept living and dining rooms, a modern kitchen, and a game room.

Soak up the sun in the incredible outdoor area. A covered dining area, built-in grill, and sun loungers surround the sparkling swimming pool -- all framed by jaw-dropping canyon views.

LIVING AREA

The bright and airy living area features an open layout and a smart TV. The adjacent game room includes a full-size billiards table.

KITCHEN & DINING

The modern kitchen boasts granite countertops and a full suite of stainless steel appliances.

Sip morning coffee at the kitchen bar, or enjoy tasty home-cooked meals at the dining table for six.

BED & BATH

This home sleeps up to eight guests between the four bedrooms.

The serene master bedroom has a plush king bed and patio access. The en-suite bathroom is configured with a granite vanity and walk-in shower.

Three guest rooms each have a comfy queen bed, plenty of closet space, and a TV. The guest bathroom has two sinks and a tub/shower combination.

OUTDOOR AREA

Your hilltop getaway boasts an amazing outdoor area! A magnificent swimming pool takes center stage, complete with sun loungers, a covered dining area, and a built-in grill. Kick back and admire the panoramic views of the surrounding Mission Trails Canyon.

LOCATION

Drive 5 minutes to the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center to learn about the park's history, flora, and fauna. Then embark on one of the many trails into the heart of the Park.

Enjoy a refreshing beverage at Cowles Mountain Coffee Company, then head downtown -- only 20 minutes away. Explore the historic Gaslamp District or dine in Little Italy. Venture to San Diego bay and hop aboard a fun-filled harbor cruise.

Complimentary Wi-Fi, a Pack n Play, high chair, washer/dryer, and parking for two cars are provided.

Please note the solar-heated pool isn't heated during the winter months (November through March).

The fireplace is not operational.

House Rules: Events, parties, smoking, and pets are not permitted on-site.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great house
A great house but had some issues regarding the pool not being heated. Called VRBO 3 times to confirm would be heated and have emails saying it would. When got there pool was extremely cold. Called them again only to find out pool is solar heated, being that is early spring maybe why so cold. Otherwise house is good, needs a deep cleaning but we enjoyed ourselves.

This is a beautiful home. We had traveled most of the day , upon arrival and the family was so tired. From the airport, traffic and the stress of traveling, it was delightful to show up to a place so cozy and homie. We all had our own rooms, the patio was like heaven. The pool was heated and so comfortable even on cool mornings. The garage was so handy to be able to access and the views were great. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and clean. We absolutely loved our stay and best of all the kids loved the POOL.

We had a great time at Hemingway. The pool, the view and the entire back yard is amazing. We swam during the day, ate dinner outside and sat by the gas fire pit at night. The house was also nice with a lot of amenities such as a pool table, ceiling fans in every room, use of the garage and garage door opener, an air pump to blow up pool toys, and plenty of beach towels. The location was also nice in that it’s 20 min from all of the attractions and 3 minutes to the nearest grocery store. We would stay here again.

San Diego family vacation
The house was clean in a great location. The beds were comfortable. The pool table was a great addition. Everyone had fun playing pool. The pool was beautiful but the water was cold which was puzzling to us because of the solar water panels on the roof. The pool furniture cushions need to be replaced and one of the swivel chairs is very tippy and one of us almost went over backwards, dangerous someone could get hurt. The neighbors chickens poop smell breezed into the pool area when the wind blew that way. Over a good place to stay.

Fantastic Home
House is as pictured, clean, and quiet. We would definitely stay here again. Fire pit was a hit since it was too chilly at the time of our stay to swim. Everything you need for cooking is available, even a spice rack and seasonings. We had a wonderful stay.

Perfect House for Family Vacation
This is a beautiful property that has everything a family needs to feel right at home. We especially enjoyed the pool as temperatures during our stay were in the upper 90's- very hot for San Diego. The house is a short drive to the beach and minutes away from hiking Cowles Mountain. We highly recommend this property.

Amazing Property
Have just spent 10 days in this property with my husband and 3 children aged 13, 16 & 19 and found it all amazing and like home from home. Perfect setting and great location. Amazing pool and view and lots of indoor entertainment. Had a couple of issues which were responded to quickly. Would definitely stay here again given the opportunity to come back to San Diego.

Great House for families
We had 4 adults and 4 kids in our group. It was a great house for kids and adults. Pool table, outdoor pool and fire pit were great to come home to for extra entertainment. We went to the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, USS Midway Museum, and drove up and down the coast. Zoo , Sea World, USS Midway Museum, and airport were all around 20-25 minutes away from the house. It was also near a grocery store. Overall, a good location. When we walked in it was extremely clean and kept up very nice. I would recommend keeping some extra paper towels, dish soap and toilet paper. We did buy some extra toilet paper when we got groceries. Just as an FYI, we did leave a note, but one of fire detectors was beeping and we had to take it down. The battery was dead. It was internal, so batteries can't be replaced. Also, hoping to possibly get a hat mailed to us that my daughter left at the house. It was a white bucket style hat we purchased from the zoo. Hoping someone can let me know if it was found. Overall, we had a great experience at this house and would definitely stay there again if we were to ever come back for a visit!

Everything was amazing. The one main complaint was that they advertised a pool but it was essentially unusable because of the weather. It’s meant to be a heated pool and only after we booked (when there was no chance of a refund anymore) did they tell us that the pool isn’t heated in the winter rendering it unusable. The view was gorgeous and the place was beautiful and clean. As we were leaving the cleaning lady showed up which means the company doesn’t give you any opportunity to take care of anything because they have an earlier check out time than most hotels.
