Not like Hyatt

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Everything!
Location: Not worth my time!
I have stayed at many Hyatt properties but I must say this was disappointing. No hotel restaurant means no room service. The so called lounge or bar kept me standing there, ignored as the front desk staff checked in guests. Apparently the 20 something employees were also the bartenders. The excessive amount of time I stood there waiting gave me ample opportunity to experience an upclose and personal look at the filthy bar area representing bottom shelf liquor which instantly turned me off to the idea of a pre dinner libation. This was of course before the supervisor informed me I could purchase alcohol at the Walgreens across the street. NO hot tub in the pool area was the last straw for me. I was happy to check out. No Hyatt property for me again, Hilton and four seasons all the way! What a complete waste of money and a disappointment to the start of our spring streak.

Pros: breakfast was included
Cons: wifi
Good location, good value with the included breakfast. I had request a room w a view of the space needle, not a big deal if I didn't get it. What I did get was a room on a lower floor facing the alley and gas station. I was woken up by loud music and yelling at 2:30 in the morning. That explains the ear plugs on the bed side. The included wifi was non existent, could hardly get a signal. It was so slow once you get a sgnal you would lose it. I would think twice about going back.

Pros: Free breakfast buffet. Free shuttle service to downtown. Indoor salt water pool.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind...
Location: Seattle Center, Space Needle, EMP Museum, Pacific Science Center.
This was our second stay and we found it to be just as good as the first time.

Nice hotel in great location

Pros: Room layout and size were impressive.
Location: Right in the heart of town, walking distance to the Space Needle, Science Center and lot of other great activities.
The staff were very nice, the room clean and very spacious. A short walk to lots of good restaurants and attractions. Nice breakfast bar. Would definitely stay here again.

O.K. hotel. Lousy service.

Pros: Good location for Seattle Centre, room style and layout was good, included breakfast was better than most.
Cons: Drop the cute cards pretending to care about guests and actually respond the their requests and allow them to get the sleep that they are paying for.
Location: Seattle Centre
We chose the hotel only because of its close proximity to Seattle Centre. Liked the large size and layout of the room on checking in, but it was too hot. We attempted to lower the temperature but found the thermostat did nothing. The front desk was incredibly busy when we went out, so we didn't mention the thermostat problem until we returned from dinner, about 8:30. They said they'd have someone check it 'right away'. No one had appeared by 9:30 and our own additional attempts to deal with thermostat were unsuccessful. We called something called "Gallery Host" at the front desk and got voice mail and again asked for someone to come up and deal with the problem. No response and the temperature was rising. At 10:30 we called again and asked that someone come up "Now!" Again nothing. We went to bed and tried to sleep in a room that was by then 75 degrees. Finally, at 2 AM I called again. More voice mail, so I put on pants and went down to the front desk. A bellman came back up with me and somehow lowered the thermostat using the exact procedure that I'd been using. Meantime someone had stuck a cute card under the room door saying how much Hyatt Place valued our stay and if there was anything they could do for us just call "Gallery Host"! Which of course is what we'd done --- 3 times! So, it is just more empty corporate nonsense that means nothing. What should have been a pleasant stay was soured by the total lack of response of the hotel's staff.

Good view, comfortable room, and fair price.

This was our first time at this hotel after visiting Seattle a few times before, and I am very happy with everything about the hotel. The lobby and rooms are comfortable, and the morning breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here In the future.

Clean hotel in central location

3 minute walk to the Space Needle and museums. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff were attentive and the hotel provided a free 24 hour shuttle service within downtown Seattle which was very convenient.

Clean, Comfortable, and a Gracious Staff

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: My room was huge, the bed was very comfortable, and free shuttle service to any Seattle destination was provided.
Cons: The fruit selection at breakfast needs improvement as it consisted of a bowel of cut up melons and some overripe bananas.
I chose this hotel for it's proximity to an event I was participating in. It turned out to be a very good choice. The hotel is clean (inside and out), quiet, well cared for, and the staff are very helpful.

They have the worst parking garage I have seen. Too small for pacific northwest cars. Small two seater cars only. Not enough room to back up and do it again.
