Shibukawa is located approximately 65 miles (105 kilometers) from Tokyo, the country's capital, and about 80 miles (129 kilometers) from Yokohama.
Don't limit yourself to Shibukawa, because this region features an abundance cultural and scenic attractions just waiting to be explored. You'll find Honjo, 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the northwest, and Kusatsu 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the east.
Nikko is 40 miles (64 kilometers) from Shibukawa. This regional center contains a some great things to do and see, including Nikko Temple, Shinkyo and Rinno-ji Temple. Oze National Park, Tamozawa Imperial Villa Memorial Park and Futarasan Shrine are also worth checking out before heading back to Shibukawa.
