Book Wingate Bed & Breakfast

"Wonderful house. Well stocked with supplies. Great open floor plan along with a couple separate spaces on the main floor. Our group had 7 adults and our eight grandchildren six and under. Pool has gated access which was a key feature with all our little ones. The owner provided much info regarding things to do in the area. The bedroom spaces worked out great with our mix. We really enjoyed the crab traps and the dock for fishing. It was mostly casting practice but the kids loved it. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. It is a relatively secluded location but within a couple miles of a country store and seafood market and about 10 miles from the town of Caimbridge with a Walmart for any shopping needs. I would highly recommend this for a family vacation like we had."

"Wow! Serene with beautifully-tended gardens and birds of all kinds including osprey and martins nesting...this is a real find for anyone who wants to getaway from the busyness of DC. Cindy made us feel right at home. We'll be back for sure!"

"The cabin itself was lovely with a southwestern feel. Very clean when we arrived and met our expectations. The outside space was the best! Even though it was a rainy weekend, we were able to take the kayaks out on the lake during a break in the rain. Unfortunately the weather prohibited us from visiting the beach but the property was close to Solomon's Island where there is plenty of shopping and dining. My only complaint was the mattress in the master bedroom. It felt wore out and we kind of sunk in the middle."

"Owners attenuative to texts for any needs. We arrived very late to property d/t I95 bridge being rerouted and it was no big deal with Toby the owner. Its a Quaint clean home with all needed amenities. Great kitchen. My husband and I love to cook. Be aware that main bedrooms are upstairs and bathroom is downstairs r/t toilet use at night/ small children. Property was well manicured with fabulous Chesapeake Bay views. Awesome dock for everything. Owner provided crab traps!!! Bring couple steaks to throw on grill and and pair them with seafood right off the local docks. The "Scotts" at MadHouse Oysters have killer fresh oysters. Friendly close net community. Can not find nicer people than the staff at the general store. 5 star rating across the board for our vacation fishing, crabbing and relaxing at the bay. However if you are looking for nightlife and touristy activities. This is probably not a property for you. Drive to OC. But water activities, fishing, crabbing, bonfires in the firepit, fun family meals together, and exploring the island etc. etc. absolutely."
