The side walk is dirty and planters are unattended and holding garbage. It’s the only hotel that I have stayed in many years that doesn’t offer free wifi, I finally got it but after almost begging and bribing for it. "Great location, opposite the main Atocha Train station. Cheap bus from Madrid airport to the train station. Metro outside. Dining options in the immediate vicinity. Within walking distance of museums. Reception ladies really helpful and pleasant and good English. Amazing breakfast and free (!) extras [hot and cold beverages, snacks, cookies]. Room had a balcony and was fun to people watch but it also had very effective shutters to block noise. "
