The hotel is in a walkable neighborhood with a lot of food options. It is quiet, which is always a plus. Good and free breakfast. Unfortunately, the a/c was out and no other rooms available. Security personnel brought a fan to the room, but it was still hot. Maintenance was not available until 7am the next morning. But they never came out to fix the air pump. We checked out around 11am. We were told we will be compensated and partial refund will be sent to Expedia. I am awaiting an update.

For as busy as this place gets to be they do a good job of keeping on top of things. Hailing the shuttle is probably the biggest challange. They want you to call the front desk to report a shuttle is needed but it’s hard to get through. Best bet is to stand by the red hotel shuttle signs located at the passenger drop off area (upper level) and flag down the Fairfield shuttle. Note it only comes around every 30 minutes so if you miss it, wait or take an Uber. We arrived a few hours early this time so I was on a wait list for the room. After an hour I checked in again and finally got a room (around 1pm - note normally checkin for these hotels is 3pm so bonus points here - plus I received an upgraded room due to Marriott status). This is the biggest Fairfield I’ve ever stayed in. It’s true Luba 24hr operation being near LAX. The room was challenging to find, if your toting a lot of luggage and have people with you, send a scout to find the room first and then have them lead the way.

This was a great stay at a really reasonable price. I liked the area, it was convenient to the airport and C also the freeways. Beaches weren’t far. A lot of dining and shopping options were walkable for practical items. We stayed 4 nights and the staff was really helpful and nice. The room was extremely clean, if a little small. It was a 2 queen balcony room on the outside perimeter, and the street noise was noticeable but not annoying. But the balcony felt pretty private and it was nice to have an outdoor space to wake up with coffee. The dining area was nice and the breakfast was really quite good with a lot of options. I don’t really recommend the eggs, but they weren’t awful, just obviously powdered. Everything else was good quality and delicious. Overall, it was a great stay and we plan to come back next time we’re in the area. Very friendly and responsive staff. The airport shuttle was also convenient and easy to use.

We took the shuttle to the airport. It was late and the driver was rude. I was walking with a cane and he made us get off the shuttle in front of Terminal 3 and we wanted the Bradley Terminal. He told us to "just walk there,". It was very difficult walking with bags and a cane. Never again! The staff had no clue when a shuttle would come and gave us the wrong information.
