"The unique part from this property was the music playing outside of the building. "

"Friendly check in, gorgeous historic building. Room was great, bed and pillows comfortable, fresh. Charger ports on night stands. The water - lake view was absolutely worth the sunrise over Lake Michigan! Parked in. GRANT Parking South underground lot for about half the $62 parking next to the hotel, very short walk with our bags was easy. Loved the charming room, lux plank flooring, the hallway carpets were freshly shampood. Old buildings are quirky, the hot water was neither left nor right, just lift the handle straight up. Glad we figured it out. Plenty of water pressure, beautifully updated spaces. We Brought our own pillows after reading reviews, and that was unneccesary, as the bed and bedding were great. They offer free cookies in the vending/snack area. Will love to stay here again. Great prices at a venerable place! Fantastic history of president's speeches and more. "

"Nice hotel, bathroom was small but the bed was comfy and we were able to get to the trains easily. Not much surrounding the hotel, but it was easy to get around. The staff was incredible! They were all so kind and accommodating. Room didn’t have a view, but it was a basic hotel room so it did the job "
