The Roosevelt, a Coast Hotel

Good Location

Location was great for sight seeing and/or business. Rooms were on the small side especially the bathroom, but they were very clean and somewhat cozy. Don’t know why this sticks out from all of my memories but the hotel has a wonerful aroma. It gives a very cozy feeling.

Quaint hotel, great location

We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. It was clean, comfy and within walking distance to anything we wanted. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice Break from work

Nice older hotel with pleasant & helpful staff. Only problem was an issue with the elevators but Staff was working around that. Good shopping in the area and a great dinner at the Steakhouse that is part of the Hotel (VON’s).

A delightful place.

We fully enjoyed our stay at the Roosevelt. It had all the amenities we needed. It was also very comfortable, clean and quiet.

Not too impressed with the maintenance

The elevator and phone was not working the first couple of days. Cost to park is outragious.

Harbor cruise was great. Visit to Bainbridge Island was disappointing. Not much to see there. The Market Place was fantastic. Two hour drive to Leavenworth was well worth the trip. Took tube ride down river for an hour and a half. Overall, the trip to Seattle was fantastic.

Excellent choice for accomodations

Older hotel, but well kept, clean and quite. Good location within walking distance to many local attractions, restaurants and shopping. I will stay here again on my next trip to Seattle.

It is a safe walk to the water front.

Good location

The location of the hotel was super, it was right downtown. The bathtub was amazing. The maids need to pay more attention when cleaning the room though. We found the previous guests swim trunks in the bathroom as well as what looked like coffee all the celing.

great location. the room was a little small and the maid service didnt come once during our three day stay, which was slightly annoying, but other than that the front desk people were very helpful and the room comfortable.

Hotel in General

Hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff helpful. Located in downtown, 6 blocks from Pike’s Market and dozens of places to eat. 1 block from the Hyatt, without paying Hyatt’s prices. Will stay there again. I travel quite a bit for work and this was quiet and clean.

Very nice!!

The rooms were very nice and the bed was plush and comfortable. We were able to get good rates with Expedia which made for an awesome stay. The hotel staff was friendly and the place was very nicely located. Note to traveller: 1 downfall. It is about $40-45 cab fare from the airport. We were very pleased.

Perhaps the best value for downtown Seattle

I lived in Seattle for 6 years and now go back as a visitor. I searched fairly hard for a good value hotel for my last trip and the Roosevelt was hands down the best value for my July stay. One elevator was out of order for three days over the weekend which was a bit of a nuisance but other than that my stay was impeccable.

the room was larger than I expected. Some older renovated hotels have very small rooms. Not so with ours. Very clean, everything worked the way it should. Hotel staff very helpful. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see.

Great Stay

We have stayed at the Roosevelt several times over the past four years and have enjoyed it every time. It is a great boutique hotel located in the heart of Seattle.

Since the prices are now the same, I would recommend utilizing the valet parking at the hotel instead of the parking garage next door.

Seattle’s Best Place to Stay

I was really impressed on the location of this hotel. I had a mall on the oppisite side of the street. There was so much to do. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends. I will most likely stay at this hotel again next year or any other time. It was my first time in Seattle and I’m glad to have stayed here. It made my experience more enjoyable.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

This hotel is just a few minutes away from many of the clubs located in Seattle. It feels like you’re the heart of Seattle. The space needle is just 15 minutes away as well. You don’t have to drive at all to go to the mall or a club.

Wonderful service!

The service at this hotel was exceptional. My cousin and I kept on asking for directions from the concierge and the front desk, and they were more than happy to help us out. The staff was understanding and patient to two directionally challenged travelers, and both of us would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat.

Depending on what side of the hotel you are on, make sure to draw the blinds, or the guests at the hotel on the opposite side might see you during inopportune moments.

Great location

The hotel is in a great location ,walking distance to the malls and lots of shopping centers. Hotels customer service is really good. Excellent rooms and renovated bathrooms. The hotels restaurant was way too pricey and was not up to the mark ,so I will not recommend that.

Classy older hotel

Our visit allowed us only one night downtown before moving on to outdoor activities, so the Roosevelt was perfect for us. This classy older hotel was easily walkable to the public market/waterfront and had a Walgreens around the corner so we could pick-up things we needed for the trip that we didn’t fly in with. Lots of nearby dining and shopping options. Parking costs extra but that can be expected anywhere downtown. McDonalds and (many) Starbucks nearby so if you don’t want the full breakfast treatment you can grab a biscuit and be out quick in the morning.

Very pleasant stay.

The Roosevelt Hotel in downtown Seattle is well-appointed and centrally located. We were able to walk to the restaurant, to shopping, to the public market, and to the library. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

I got robbed

You have to have your car valet parked. Someone broke out the driver window and stole my GPS. They also got the car parked next to mine.

Great stay in Seattle

We spent one night at the Roosevelt in a jetted tub suite. The price was great and the room was fantastic. It was spacious, clean and quiet and the tub was huge. Will surely stay there again. Staff was friendly and helpful and it was close to everything downtown. Have to valet park at the hotel but then you don’t have to worry about all the outrageous parking fees if you just walk. Restaurant that is attached to the hotel had a great causal atmosphere and a nice menu. We really enjoyed our stay.
