Great Spot/Great Staff

My hubby and I had a date night away from the kids. We decided to stay at the Monaco because it was a reasonable price and I liked what I saw from the pics on Expedia. I’m so glad we chose to stay here. Great location -good Starbucks nearby and short walk to shopping and even a reasonable walk to Pike Place. The service was friendly. Happy hour was great downstairs. Loved the goldfish in the room. Only con was the bed comfort. I didn’t find it very comfortable at all. The rest made up for it as it was only one night of spotty sleep. We will be back for sure!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Park at one of the local garages to save some money off the valet/ overnight parking fee. Do take advantage of happy hour!

Wonderful place

Staff was friendly, helpful, welcoming. We enjoyed happy hour, and we LOVED our pet fish!

Traveler's tip on dining

The Purple Cafe is on this same block and we thoroughly enjoyed a short walk to a nice meal.

Warm Comfortable Feel

I was a super location for a recreational visitor , everything in walking distance. The staff was very helpful. Having coffee sitting in the overstuffed sofa in front of the lobby fire place felt great on a foggy Seattle morning. Only complaint was that there was not enought electrical sockets in the room for cell phones camaras and electric tooth brushes, etc. Good wireless service.

Great Downtown Hotel

I stayed at the Hotel Monaco with my husband and 2 young children. We stayed in a king executive suite and it was ideal. We had a separate sleeping area for the children and plenty of room for all 4 of us. The location is ideal, you can walk to almost any touristy site. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Seattle.

Very impressive!

I love hotel Monaco, and will go back there again. The only complaint I have was that my room’s air conditioning was not working well when I stayed there. But other than this, everything is great!

Great Hotel and Location

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone working downtown. I like to walk and could get to the convention center, Pike Place Market, Belltown and Capitol Hill by foot but this hotel is in Seattle’s "free zone" for public transportation if you’d rather not walk. The restaurant,Sazerac attached is good and had an excellent happy hour M-S with unbelievable prices on drinks and food, ($2 pizzas and sliders). The hotel is pet friendly and welcomes your furry friend by writing their name on a chalkboard in the lobby and offering pet bowls and towels for your companions. If you can’t bring your pets, you can borrow one of their goldfish to keep you company. Very cute idea. I would definitely stay here again.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Check out the amazing Central Library right across the street.

A wonderful place to stay in Seattle

The staff was very attentive, professional and friendly. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. It is a pet friendly hotel that I highly recommend even though I was not traveling with my dogs. I watched the responsiveness of the staff, their attention to detail and was impressed. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the Space Needle, the Aquarium, Pikes Market, museums and upscale shopping. Overall a relaxing and pleasant stay.

A lot of extras

I really loved the luxury of this place - we got a Thanksgiving deal and stayed two nights in one of the suites. Our only criteria was to find an affordable but nice hotel downtown WITH A JACUZZI tub. This was the only one I found. The tub is awesome, btw. Also, the hosted happy hour every night is stellar as well as the fact that you can have a pet goldfish for the duration of your stay. We really loved it here.

Great Stay in Seattle’s Monaco

Hotel Monaco’s staff is very friendly and helpful with everything from directions to accomodating families with small children. The location is excellent for walking everywhere--down to Pike Place, the waterfront, catching the bus to Qwest Stadium, walking to shopping areas, the Monorail, and restaurants (Purple Cafe highly recommended). We enjoyed our stay thanks to the staff, the room was very comfortable, nice sitting area and flat-screen TV, bathroom, and bed. We even forgot some of our daughter’s clothes and they sent them to us in New York gratis. And don’t miss the nightly happy hour when they pour out some of Washington’s finest vino in the lobby. Breakfast was quite good in the restaurant as well. We highly recommend the hotel and will stay here again on our next trip.

Would not stay anywhere else!

From the moment the doors were opened for us, my wife and I were treated as royalty. The clerk at the front desk was very friendly and ended up switching us to a waterside view because the room was one of the few that were ready (we checked in 3 hours early!) just so we didn’t have to wait. The concierge got us reservations for the space needle restaurant even though I had called earlie and been told that they were booked. He even had an appetizer waiting for us when we got our table. The only slight problem was that the Monaco is very eco friendly and thus the water pressure was a little lacking in the shower. The beds were extremely comfortable and the decor was AMAZING. Every part of that hotel is beautiful, right down to the wood flooring in the elevator. I will always stay at a Kimpton hotel if there is one available from now on.

Traveler's tip on dining

The steak with port reduction at the space needle was the best I’ve ever had.

Lovely hotel - funwine reception

We’ve stayed at Kimpton hotels before, and this one was par for the course! Very nice. We had a great time at the wine reception each night and met friendly interesting people to talk to. Great location - easy to get to many attractions. Would definitely stay here again if we visit Seattle in the future.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Look forward toa future visit

From the moment we arrived it was red carpet service. Everyone was friendly & very helpful. The room was fabulous. It was decorated in a range of colors that we couldn’t believe would look so good together. Although the suite was not spacious it was more than adequate. Room service was available 24 hours a day. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

A great hotel for people with dogs

We loved our stay at the Monaco. The staff is so helpful, the rooms are nice, clean--and our dog had a great stay as well. The only problem was a noisy guest in the room next door who woke us up both mornings with her loud voice.

Traveler's tip on dining

Had a great dinner at Brasa

Great Experience

I am up in Seattle on a regular basis for business. I think I have found the hotel I will keep coming back to. I had a nicely appointed and very quiet room. I found the staff to be very helpful and attentive. The downtown location was very central and convenient. One downside, the gym is fairly small and the equipment a little tired. Nevertheless, I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Seattle. Stay away from the Warwick and go to Hotel Monaco.

Fun place for a fun weekend

The Hotel Monaco was a fun place to stay when I was in town for a wedding. The room was clean and in good condition, though the chest of drawers could use replacing and the decor is just a little dated. I enjoyed the free wine between 5-6 in the evenings. And on Fridays they have Guitar Hero in the lobby! It was great to meet other guests and hone some GH skills. The price was great for the level of service. I would certainly stay here again.

Great place

Well located and very comfortable. Goldfish are a cute touch. Wine tasting in the lobby is a plus. The valet car service is very efficient, although pricy.

Great Location!

Hotel is located within walking distance of Pike Market, monorail, and several shopping districts and restaurants.

Traveler's tip

Parking at the hotel is very expensive to use the valet ($30+/night). It was easy to use but try to find parking elsewhere if you can. Not sure where.
