would stay here again.

this was my second stay here. Like the location and if the rates are competatative, will definitely go back. I have stayed in a couple of other hotels in the area and parking is always an issue. This place has an underground garage and even though there is a charge it beats feeding the street meters and it is indoors, with in and out privileges.

Great stay!!

I was in need of a room and last minute I found this place through Expedia and I was pleasantly surprised! I hate hotel shopping because I have had bad experiences in the past, but this experience turned out great. Checking in was breeze. The woman was extremely friendly and polite and the same with checking out. Great experience. I appreciated that there was a parking garage because trying to park on the street any where in Seattle is difficult. The room was comfy and had what I needed for my one night stay. When I first got to the room the only problem was a broken toilet handle, but I called downstairs and within 5 - 10 minutes a maintenance person was there to repair it. Other than that honestly it was great. I really like that there was a Starbucks right next door and you can access it from the hotel lobby. I have been telling people I know about the place because I enjoyed it.

Ready to go back to Seattle

The parking was somewhat cramped and difficult to get to. The room was simple yet comfortable...nothing fancy, but it served it’s purpose. If you are out and about visiting with minimal time in the room it is perfect. It was an easy walk to restaraunts and grocery...close to other attractions as well.

Fish market and the Space Needle.

Best Location In Seattle!

My name is Paulette and I went to the Mediterranean Inn and Seattle and I have to say that I lucked out. I went to look for work and to have a short vacation and it was Superb! The location was magnificent! I thought about renting a car but as to knowing where i had to go it was located near muni service which was great! No problems at all getting to and from the hotel. The staff took care of me before I even got on the plane for Seattle. The arranged for wonderful town car service to pick me up from and drop me back off at the airport. They knew how to get to every location I needed to go to. They told me exactly where to go to sight see and have a great time and they just took wonderful care of me and I felt totally safe traveling as a woman by myself for the first time. The rooms where immaculant, the cleaning staff was very nice and they have an excercise room, meeting room and even internet service for you in the front if you didn’t bring your laptop and need to check your email, on your business or to just say hi to the folks at home. ANd they are located in the Queen Ann neighborhood which is beautiful and seemed quite safe to walk around. The bonus is if you get the kitchennette, safeway is located right out the door down the block. If i go back I don’t think I can stay anywhere else. I highly reccommend it to business people and tourist alike!

Seems like November is a great time to go for what I’ve been told if you want to get great deals in beautiful hotels because there are lesser tourist and more business people traveling. And you can do things like ride the ferry and hit the tourist sites with a lot more lesser people.

Great inexpensive seattle option

We always stay at this hotel in Seattle--it is a great, affordable option. Rooms are clean, hotel is quiet, front desk staff friendly. Neighborhood is very convenient to downtown Seattle. Nice business center, too.

Great Hotel

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was cozy. We didn’t really stay long enough to use the kitchenette, but that would have been great on a longer stay. I would totally stay here again.

Looking forward to next trip

I planned this trip for my wifes birthday, She loves shopping and Seattle. Staying here made it easy to get downtown by a short walk through seattle center then ride the mono-rail to the westlake mall. Pike street market is approx 3 blocks as well. Fun time lots to do. We had dinner at Phuket just around the corner from hotel great food service was ok. Overall we will stay here again!! Don’t froget to checkout the rooftop view.

Great location!

We stayed at the Mediterranean Inn for 2 nights and really enjoyed the convenience of its location. Within a one-block radius was a Safeway supermarket, Dick’s burgers, movie theater, Thai restaurant and a coffee shop. There’s so much nearby that you really don’t need a car at all, just some good rain gear. Our room had everything we needed--a refrigerator, microwave, and a small sink. Our 21 months old daughter loved to jump on the queen size bed and look out of the huge window, which was low enough for her to see everything. She had no trouble falling asleep when it was time to go to bed. We could hear some street noise outside from a delivery truck idling at the curb, but it didn’t bother us very much. We felt very at ease and comfortable staying at the Mediterranean Inn. Plus, we got a great discounted rate from Expedia. But you do have to pay extra for parking in their underground garage.

If you’re traveling with kids, go to the Children’s Museum inside the Seattle Center. Our 21 months old daughter just loved the grocery store and the Sesame Street exhibit.

Unexpected pleasure!

My wife and I were quite pleasantly surprised by the excellent accomodations of the motel. Bright, airy, modern enough, and clean and friendly. Wonderful rooftop view, when it wasn’t raining. The staff was very nice, and informative about where to go, what to do. Would stay there any time.

Be prepared for gloom and rain and fog and mist. Not a lot of good days to see the sun in Seattle.

Great bang for the buck!

Always enjoy the stay at the Med. It’s location to Seattle center and Queen Anne make it very convenient yet slightly off the beaten path. The staff was very friendly and professional, albeit short handed. The room was in good condition and very clean. Thumbs up!

I’d definately go back

This hotel is in a great safe location with easy walking distance to everything. The staff were friendly and happy to give suggestions on eating/shopping/tours etc The roof top view is amazing. As an added bonus after I dicovered I left something in the room after I had returned to NY the staff located it and sent it on to me; (never had that happen before!)

Easy and Comfort

This hotel had great views of Seattle from their roof-top deck. It was easy to find from the freeway and had parking underneath the hotel. It was short walk to the Seattle Center, Monorail, grocery shopping, and a short walk up the hill to Kerry Park that offered amazing views of the city. My one complaint was the the views from my window looked directly into the apartments right next door.

Good overall experience & convenient location

Very convenient location - healthy walk to Pike’s Market - very short walk to Space Needle. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable, clean rooms. Starbucks entrance to the hotel for caffeine addicts.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

The underground tour in Pioneer Place is very interesting and definitely worth the time and money. You visit the original 1st floor of several blocks of downtown Seattle that were destroyed in the great fire of 1889. Very cool!

Would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for a trip in September. The location is perfect: within walking distance of the Space Needle and the monorail and a block away from a Safeway for grocery needs. The staff was extremely helpful offering us directions and information any time we asked. My husband bought me flowers at Pike’s Place and one of the ladies at the front desk even found me a pitcher to keep them in. Loved this place and would absolutely stay again.

Great Hotel

The Mediterranean is a great place to stay. The rooms are nice with a huge batchroom and a nice window seat. The lobby is very nice and the staff extremely friendly. Location is great with it being so close to Seattle Center and the Space Needle. The roof top deck was wonderful. A little chilly at night in the fall but definatley worth the view. Plus there was never anyone else up there when we were there. Next time I come back to Seattle I will stay here again.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Taxi rides are very expensive. When we left Seattle the hotel offered to call us a car service. The driver was great, the trip was fast and it saved us a few bucks.

Excellent plae to stay

Excellent place to stay if you’re there to check out the sites. Quiet Queen Anne Neighborhood...easy access to everything you might want to do in downtown Seattle. Very friendly and knowledgeable employees about the area and the best and fastest ways to get places. Greatly exceeded my expectations.

Lacking in comfort

This hotel is worn and dated. While we didn’t mind having the windows open for air, hearing the doors to other rooms slamming shut during the night constantly awakened us. As a woman traveling, some concerns were; there are no security locks on the room door and the peep hole was not functional. There is no counter space in the bathroom for toiletries, no exhaust fan, and the bathroom door opens right to the room entry door, so privacy is compromised. The bed sheets were worn out, and the bed sagged, making us sore in the morning (we are not overweight people).

Great Hotel, Great View for the money

I was very happy. The hotel is located in the middle of everything. Transportation is close by if you don’t have a car. The Space Needle is about three blocks away. If you go up to the roof where the deck is located there is a really wonderful view. when I checked in, the hotel staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Only one complaint, there was one girl that worked in the evening that seemed to not want to assist me and the other guests but the others made up for it. They were great with helping me find my way around the area. The hotel was clean. I would definately recommend staying there.

Satisfactory for a short stay

The room was old, the furniture and carpet was worn but clean and satisfactory for one night stay. The staff was cordial and helpful. We were disappointed that there was no free internet service. Reasonable parking rate in secured basement parking.

I stayed there for 2 nights. Room was very clean and good size. Very good value for the price. Starbucks is on the street level. No A/C in the room but the windows open to get a breeze.

Nice place in a nice neighborhood.

Good value for the room/location. I like staying in the Queen Anne neighborhood and this place was great with Starbucks off the lobby, a grocery store a block away and numerous restaurants all within walking distance. Entire property (inside) is smoke-free but the observation deck on the roof was filled with smokers when I went up there. I would definitely stay here again.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Room had a sink, frig. and microwave but other than two glasses and two coffee mugs, no other dishware. Limited what possibilities were for food options but it was nice to have the amenities.

What a view!!!

From the beginning we felt great in this hotel. The room was comfortable and in a very good condition. The hotel is placed about 500 metres to the Space Needle / Key Arena and in a quite nice neighbourhood. Biggest surprise for us was the roof deck with a perfect view of the skyline where we relaxed after hours of walking our feet flat in the city. Finally i don’t want to forget the cafe which can be reached from the ... perfect for me and my needs ;-))

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Space Needle, Key Arena in walking distance. Short trip with Monorail downtown. So a perfect place to visit all the places in Seattle from Sights over concerts to sport events.
