Quality, access to everything Seattle, and with a view.

The hotel is accessible to everything that is touristy in Seattle. Pike Place Market is at the top of the stairs; all of the water activities are across the street; the walk to the stadiums is flat and reasonable; the taxi ride to the stadiums and the Space Needle area is less than $10.00. It is spendy, but an excellent hotel.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Use the concierge. It is well worth the tip.

Wonderful hotel for the Seattle Tourist Experience

The Marriott Waterfront Hotel was in the perfect location for our first trip to Seattle. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the food in the restaurant great, the pool area both inside and out very enjoyable. We will be back again.

Treated like a second rate citizen! Sparse on amenities and WATER!

First of all we paid a large amount for one night. I requested a room with a view and received a view of the parking garage. I was told they were booked. Their was not any complementary water in the room. I called the front desk and they had to search for 2 x-small bottles. It was not enough. The floor( 6th) did not have a machine or drinking fountain and I refused to pay room service for drinking water. The amenities were sparse as in the kleenex box had four kleenex, towels I could have used an extra but Just enough. The room was small for the money. I felt cheated. The next morning I complained to the front desk and they wouldn’t do anything to compensate they were not very professional, I also found out that they were Not booked the night before. I will not return, they are to cheap. The Hotel is very nice in the lobby and the location is great for Pike Market area, but The Marriot Harbor in Seattle is a facade. I wasted my money and I am sure another hotel would love to have our business and supply us with plenty of drinking water and ample amenities. I left feeling ripped off. The bell Man was very nice and I tipped him well.

Very nice hotel, but some things overlooked

The hotel and the room were very nice, clean and the staff was very helpful. A nice 42inch flat screen if that is your thing. The location was great for a weekend getaway, next door to the pike market, restaurants, bay tours, a great spot. If you are going to the Space Needle there is a monorail up the street from the end of Pikes market its one way to the needle. It will save you alot of steps. The pool and spa area needed some attention though, when my wife and I went to the pool it was littered with towels and soda cans, not a very appealing place to swim. The workout room was also overrun with kids messing around, granted it is the parents fault but the hotel should consider their liability, and their guests that want to workout.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

If going to a baseball or football game its about a mile and a half down 1st street. It wasn’t a bad walk but it was 3 miles round trip, if you’re now used to walking a cab is your next option. Was a little worried about walking downtown after sunset but there were alot of people walking with you after the game, pretty safe.

Great location but service is marginal

Great location - we could walk to everything downtown. The room was nice and the breakfast buffet (included) was great, but the service was very poor. They charge $36 per night to park your car (no kidding). Otherwise it was great.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

We found the experience music museum to be excellent. Take the ferry to Vashon for a great afternoon.

Good Location with some hiccups

Hotel is in a great location near Pikes place and waterfront. Only thing that irked me was $35 valet parking and no self parking spots which I thought the price was way too steep. I booked a non smoking king bed and they only had dual full size beds for us which was dissapointing. Did not take advantage of hotel ammenities so I cannot comment. Will Probably stay at another hotel next time.

Not worth the price

This is a nice hotel, nothing special. It’s very expensive (add the valet daily price if you have a rental) and I would expect a lot more for the price. The description says most rooms with a waterfront view and this is not accurate. We went there for our first year anniversary and expected a wonderful room so we chose to splurge. We had to stand at the window and turn our heads all the way to see the water. Only some rooms have a waterfront view and I have no idea how you get those rooms. There are many better places to stay in Seattle. I lived there for 4 years and I should have known better.

Nice City & Nice Hotel

We visited Seattle in January and stayed at the Marriott. The hotel is located in a nice area right along the waterfront. There’s a great resturant across the street for yummy clam chowder or some fish & chips. You can also walk to famous Pike’s Place from the hotel and tons of other restaurants. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The valet guy even told us about ways to save money on parking. We ordered room service several times and the food was pretty good. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great Location!!

The hotel is beautiful, sleek, and clean. We were within a short walk to the Space Needle, the Market, Pioneer Square, and right on the Waterfront. We didn’t even need to rent a car. The hotel even held our luggages after checkout, so we can take in more of Seattle before catching our flight. The hotel has beautiful LCD TVs, and the views at the Waterfront our great!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

There is site seeing very accessible to this hotel including museums, the Space Needle, and much more! A car is not necessary if you want to save on parking. There are cabs readily avaialbe at the hotel. Take a boat cruise through the bay. The best view of the skyline is from the water.

We will definitely be back!

The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and quick to respond (especially for New Year’s Eve). The staff even helped to settle a dispute with an out-of-line cab driver. We will definitely return!

Great for Cruising...

This Hotel has the best location if your going on a cruise. A special feature is that they will walk your bags over to the terminal, with you. Everything about the hotel was great...

security deposit

I checked in the hotel by expedia. As soon as I walked into the hotel, the hotel clerk asked me to present a credit/debit card. They held $325.00 in spite of the full payment. Next day, I decided to extend one more day. They charged $402.90 without any notice. When I checked out, they charged again $325.00. They hold/charge continuously, then lied. Because of the damn hotel, my trip to seattle had been ruined. The hotel kept lying.

For businessmen, not families

Very nice hotel, but I wouldn’t call it family friendly. Ridiculously small pool and very expensive restaurant. I waited an hour for the bags to be brought up after we checked in and finally had to go and get them myself, which really turned me off.

Excellent hotel on seattle’s waterfront

This is a large but manageable hotel on Seattle’s waterfront. We stayed there for 4 nights and found the hdotel and our room very comfortable, well-managed, and well-serviced. Although being on Seattle’s waterfront puts you up close to the sights and many eateries on the docks there, you’re also a long 4 flights of stairs below famous Pike Market. As it turns out the waterfront is quite a bit below the main part of downtown. If you walk one short block there is an elevator in a public garage that will get you up the hill, but its not advertised so best to ask at the hotel’s front desk. The entrance courtyard to the hotel also has a handy Starbuck’s oppostie which is great for morning or noontime beverages, sandwich or sweet. We stayed at 12 hotels during a 30-day road trip of the Canadian Rockies, Vancouver and Seattle. This was among our top favorite of all of them. Its a fine place.

Encore! We’ll be back !

Right across the street from the waterfront. Up an elevator and around the corner from Pike Place Market for shopping and fun! Close proximity via walking, buses, monorail to all local attractions. Wear walking shoes! Do Mt. Ranier and Victoria Clipper and Locks Tour Argosy Cruises and Aquarium for starters! Traveled with husband and 13 year old son.

Indoor Outdoor combo pool great after running around all day. Get cooked seafood at Pike Place and bring it pack for the balcony and drinks! Aquarium on waterfront is really cool. See Smith Tower, Columbia Center, Space Needle.

Right on the Waterfront

An excellent hotel with comfortable rooms and good staff. The corridors are very long, but when you reach your room it is spacious and well designed. Lots of counter space in the bathroom. A high-definition flat-screen TV was wonderful -- we were there for the first days of the Beijing Olympics on NBC. Room service meal was fast and delicious.

Traveler's tip on dining

Go up the stairs to the Pike Place Market area and find the 94 Stewart Street Restaurant. The food is excellent.
