“Room was very clean. It is a small family owned hotel so don't expect an all inclusive type of hotel. Most of the staff spoke excellent English and all were very friendly. It is in a great location if you want to be right in the action. Easy walking to the pier, shopping and restaurants. The continental breakfast was fresh fruit, pastries, cereal and toast. The coffee was weak. I would stay here again.”

“The property meets the requirements of a good location as it is 2 blocks from pickleball courts and a 10 minute walk to the tennis courts. The La Ropa beach is 10 minute walk away and there are many good restaurants in the area. Small boutique hotel that offers all the essential amenities. Great front desk staff and courtesy maintenance personnel.”

“Staff was exceptional right from our check in with Luis to our numerous attentive wait staff and cleaners. I would especially compliment Paulo for the amazing massage. Many folks may be hesitant about the number of steps but I assure you the views make it all worth while. Large rooms with beautiful decks and a pool & happy hour bar you will not get anywhere else! Loved it all.”

“The entire Thompson Hotel was excellent. The entire Hotel seems to have been upgraded. We've been staying at the hotel before it was the Thompson and it has never been as nice as it is now. Great management, great staff A wonderful establisment.”

“Arecas is an awesome place, if you enjoy the peace and quiet, to enjoy the Zihuatanejo Bay this is for you. The owner Juan Carlos is very friendly and nice to do business with. Their employees Jose and Yensi are super friendly and helpful in all of your needs. They can provide pretty much anything you need to make your stay more pleasant. Just overall an excellent place to stay. Food and service is too notch. Tip: you can access through playa la Ropa and walk to the hotel it's about a 15 min……
