We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The staff was accommodating, helpful, and kind. The property and location were quiet and peaceful, which was much appreciated. It was a nice short trip for us, and we hope to return soon :)

The property was beautiful and quiet. Staff friendly. Rooms spacious and clean with a beautiful view from balcony. We did not eat at the restaurant as it was buffet, but snack bar had good food options We really enjoyed our stay

Lovely place and welcoming staff
The Caloura is very pretty, clean, stylish, and comfortable. The plants inside and out are amazing. It's a wonderful place to relax.

Extremely clean and well taken care of. Great view of the ocean from my room. Staff was very nice and accommodating. We didn't try the bar or restaurant, we preferred to eat outside of the hotel. $18 per person for a basic breakfast is way overpriced for the area. Check out was a breeze. I would definitely book another stay here.

The view!!
View from my hotel room was stunning. Hotel was quiet but bar was full after dinner. We walked down to the natural pools (ocean) for a swim but it wasn’t clear enough on how to get in safely so we just went to the pool instead. Great place for us.

Supposedly half the hotel the rooms are renovated with new bathrooms. Unfortunately they put us in the older part with dated furniture and old bathroom. In the evening the Internet is reliable for a 4 star hotel. We also had a cockroach inside our bathroom which was not a pleasant experience. the grounds and pool are wonderful except when you step inside the hotel.

Ocean views can't be beat
Finally got an opportunity to experience this hotel, and let me tell you, the pool area and oceans views are worth the stay. We did stay 4-nights in a renovated room, but the bathroom wasn't what we had hoped for as the pictures showed an enclosed glass shower and what we got was a curtain tub shower. Breakfast variety is minimal compared to other larger hotels, and the bed comfort level could get upgraded (warning to couples, two doubles with a mattress pad is your green bed). All and all we did enjoy our stay and the staff were pleasant to interact with.

Beautiful grounds and friendly staff. Website expressly said “free breakfast” but apparently that means only if you pay for it! Otherwise a nice place. Well appointed with great views.

Great hotel - had a brilliant stay. Superb location with wonderful ocean views on one side and into the hills on the other. Very peaceful and tranquil ambience. Breakfasts were varied and very well prepared. Staff were wonderful - friendly and very helpful.

Beautiful grounds and vista views, reasonably updated/comfortable rooms but some wear. Poolside bar had good service and solid basic fair and drinks. Pool was a good size and fun for the kids. Easily access Ponta Delgada for restaurants, shopping and tours. Centrally located to travel to other points of interest on the island.

I booked last minute after a VRBO canceled. I wish I could have stayed longer. Love the reset, restaurant was delicious & great location.

Lovely hotel with fabulous views. I loved the greenery in the lobby and the rock garden leading to the sea. Breakfast was good but lacked vegan options. The room was very clean. The WiFi worked a treat! All in all good value for money.

The trail in the back to the ocean was lovely, but going in April, no amenities were really available. The pool is outdoors and ingested, the “hot spa” was filled with straw, the snack bar was closed, etc. it was clean and they used candles everywhere for lovely scents. The location was good. It was far enough from business but close to things. We traveled by rental car all over with no issues
