Cute simple cottage
My husband and I stayed here for a quick getaway for his 40th birthday. We basically used it as home base as we explored the area during the day. It's a simple cottage but with a beautiful view. On our last night there, there was a big geomagnetic storm and we were so blessed to go out on the dock and watch the aurora for an hour and a half. It was the perfect location and the perfect end to our mini vacation.

Catching up with our kids on the lake
We drove in from Pittsburgh so see our son and his new fiancé. This is the first house we have ever entered that literally had everything we needed. Comfortable furniture inside and out, plenty of kitchen space and appliances, A KEURIG which is important, soap, shampoo and toiletries available, and a beautiful view. The hosts are very responsive and communicate well. The house was very clean, and we tried to leave it as clean as we found it. Perfect space to catch up with the kids, while feeling like we were in a home and not a rental or hotel. We will absolutely be back, and would recommend the property and hosts to everyone!

Fantastic, beautiful place on lake!
The owners really out did themselves on this adorable lake house. Roomy,awesome deck for entertaining or to just lay about, soaking up the sun. Gorgeous sunsets,kayaks,paddle boat and a dock for your own boat! Small details like full size shampoo, body wash,conditioner and laundry products. No detail was overlooked. We will be staying for 2 weeks next time! The owners are very responsive to any questions you may have and promptly fixed any issue. Stay here,you won't regret it

Waterfront getaway
Beautiful scenery, with a deck and dock right on the sandy bottom lake. Not to forget to mention the georgeous sunsets . So clean inside with everything you could possibly need. Owner Gary is always easily available. Myself and my senior friends and family definately will be returning!

We had a great time on the lake. Gary was there to greet us and allowed for an early check-in. He gave us a thorough walk-through of the property. The house was perfect for my family. We had everything we needed to enjoy our time on the lake. The lake is small but fun. There were several ski boats and pontoon making circles arround the lake. Everyone was friendly and considerate. We went to Grand Rapids, the John Ball Zoo. It was a nice short trip and the zoo was fun.

Great little lake cottage
We just finished our almost two week stay at this property. Nice little lake for swimming, fishing and water fun. Not too far from some nice restaurants and shopping, but far enough away to feel the quiet of nature and the lake life. Comfortable beds. AC worked well on those hot days too. Great deck. Fire pit big enough to feel the heat. We will return. Thank you to our hosts

Nice family cottage
This cottage has a nice setting on the lake. We enjoyed using the kayaks and appreciated that the fire pit was already set up with firewood. The host didn't tell us where to find sheets for the couch or that the grill required a lighter and removing the grates to light it, but otherwise communicated well. It's not an overly fancy cottage, but is homey and was a nice place to relax and spend time together as a family.

Very Nice property
This property is well maintained. and is as described. . Grocery stores are close. There, is a Beautiful Golf Course (2 - 18's) within 5 miles. Dining Room, Living Room and Bedrooms are large. Both bedrooms had king size beds which were very comfortable. Large smart TV in living room worked great and the internet was quite fast. Were from Florida...If we do this trip again next year we will definitely try and stay here again.

Loved this cottage on Campau Lake. The view of the sunsets was awesome. We enjoyed taking the kayaks out to explore, sitting on the deck watching activities on the lake, and taking advantage of the close proximity to Grand Rapids.

Our stay was great. I was there with 3 friends. Plenty of space. Great view from the XL back deck. Right on the lake, as advertised. Dock with paddleboat. Extremely clean property. A/C works well. WiFi. Owners are very accommodating. They live nearby enough to provide tips on the lake and the area, but not right nextdoor, so there is privacy. Short rides to Grand Haven, Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo. Quaint little house on the outside, spacious open floorplan inside. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks, G & S. 🙂

My girlfriend and I stayed at this little cottage for 3 nights. Very cozy place, very friendly owners as well. would love to come back when there’s no snow and better temps to enjoy the lake and the big deck out back. Very central location as well which was nice for shopping or just eating out.

I would love to stay here during the summer. The owner is amazing. Winter hit kick and froze the pipes. She was there quickly and got it fixed! The beds are comfortable and the view is breath taking.

The rental was nice in a great location with a beautiful view. It could use some updates - cabinet work, living room furniture and a kitchen table that seats six. The rental was clean overall with the exception of hair in the tub. The owners did allow us an early check-in but the check-in process was an inconvenience for us and the owners. The code to the key box should be given with the address to the rental instead of having to agree on a time that works for both parties to meet.

Beautiful but tough with communication
This place is definitely beautiful and being on a lake is absolutely worth the stay. A few things the hosts could work on revolve mostly around communication. First off, there was no welcome note with the address, code for the key and instructions, wifi password, and instructions for closing up. Nor were these instructions written out anywhere in the home. I would say in my experience, this is a pretty standard practice for clarity in procedure and guest expectations. I had to reach out to them mid morning of our stay to request info, and they actually didn’t even answer my main question about the location and needed to message back and forth. What was even stranger is that they told us to meet them there at a time that wasn’t even feasible for us because we were flying in, so we needed to keep in regular communication about our plans, which is just one extra task to manage. While meeting your guest at your rental in theory is a nice, more personal idea, it’s really not practical and it places pressure on your guest to prioritize going to the rental first because you’re trying to accommodate their timeline. Just give me the code and let me arrive at my leisure! Our plane was delayed and so we would have preferred to get dinner and do grocery shopping first, but then that likely would’ve been too late for their schedule, so we had to rush to the rental just for her to “show us around”…and it just felt unnecessary. Lastly, we were unable to lock the dead bolt for the front door from the outside, as the key they provided only worked for the handle, which is really not very secure and made us worry about our valuables inside. Several features could have been resolved here fairly simply with a different set of expectations. She was really nice and let us check out later, so no offense intended towards the owners of course. Just really kind of outdated in the whole experience.

Laxing at the Lake
Several members of my family traveled to the area to visit relatives. This was a perfect spot to relax in between engagements and family get to-gethers. We seemed to always gravitate to the huge deck overlooking the lake. Guests and more energetic individuals enjoyed the canoes and paddleboat which were a nice plus. My favorite times were peaceful mornings with coffee on the deck, enjoying the beauty of the area. Also - same spot in the evening, with another beverage, watching the lake activity and the spectacular sunsets. If I ever re-visit the area, I would hope to book this property again.

Relaxing, quiet, friendly, & quaint on a nice, clean lake with excellent fishing!
Great property. Gary was easy, prompt, very responsive. He also supplied us with fishing poles and fishing supplies very quickly as I forgot mine at home. Neighbors were all super friendly. Only complaint is the master bedroom bed is very hard. My wife and I slept in the spare bedroom bed the second night & slept much more comfortably. We would definitely be coming back to this property for another visit and bring the children with us. On a last note, lake is super clean and fishing is great with panfish. We caught plenty of bluegill and sunfish! We felt at home throughout our whole stay!

The property was overall ok, won’t be back unless the mold is cleaned up and the smell is gone. it was not done professionally. There was a strong I mean strong musty mildew smell as you walked in the door. Especially over by the sink kitchen area. We did find some mold around the kitchen cabinets our last day there as I was getting pans out of the cabinet to cook. A huge health concern. I could not stand the smell positive was the view, deck & kayak's.
