“We went fishing in lake Grindstone (Note there is a water park on this lake now during the summer - the fishing isn't as good) and also went "tourist shopping downtown". The best parts of our stay were at the cabin: watching wildlife including squirrels, mule deer, elk and even the "wild" horses that roam the area. We grilled dinners (trout from the lake, and steak) and relaxed in the hot tub. It was a great vacation.”

“Three moms took a weekend away and absolutely loved this house! We played Mah Jongg on the deck enjoying the beautiful view. On Saturday we went into town and did a Paint & Sip and had dinner at the Texas Club. It was such a relaxing weekend and we will definitely be reserving this property again next year!”

“The property was clean and roomy. The TV had previously set parental controls, so movies above PG could not be watched and the dishwasher flap on the inside was broken and would not hold the pod. No water for about 6 hours. The view was great. Turkeys and deer were numerous. Restaurants were close by as well.”

“Our family had a wonderful stay at this house. The check in and check out process was very simple. Everything met our expectations. Could the house stand some upgrades? Sure. The beds were quite hard and the deck could use some work. None of these things are remotely a deal breaker for us nor do they detract from my rating. We also had a bit of a run in with a bear that decided to check out the grill. The property folks were very understanding and quick to respond. Overall, we had a lovely stay...
