Nice little getaway!
This cozy property was situated on a hillside and the picture windows in the living room allowed a beautiful view of the lake and the light as the sun came up and went down. It is close in proximity to Discovery ski area and not too far from our family in the next town over. Although the snow conditions weren’t ideal this year, we did enjoy using the wood fireplace, (lots of wood to burn right there on the hearth and more close by, on the amazing deck) playing cards and dice and we even took the short drive over to Butte for a tour of the Copper King Mansion. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. There was even a complimentary bottle of wine! Thank you, Jon and Whitney!

Absolutely a perfect place to spend your getaway. Beautiful views of Georgetown Lake from the porch as well as a second deck under a roof, and it faces SW for great sunsets. Beds were very comfortable. There's a fireplace inside and a fire ring outside and lots of firewood provided. Loved our stay!

Lovely experience
We loved our time at the lookout! Very clean and cozy, we felt at home. We had poor weather but that didnt stop us from having a good time. Warm fires and great views. We would recommend to anyone and hope to stay again.

Great spot!
The location and views were amazing. We appreciated the easy communication with the hosts. They even let us in a bit early when we arrived early on a rainy day! Our kids loved the swings, nice to be able to bring our dog. The garage use was a plus. We saw many critters this trip! We'd stay again and recommend it!

Girls Getaway & Photography Trip
This is our second trip to the Georgetown Lake Overlook and it was great. We had to change dates as I was called for jury duty. Owners were understanding and accommodating. And what luck, the weather was accommodating too! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The bathrooms are dated but in very good condition. I like the retro feel. We can’t wait to return again in November!! Thank you!

Great place!
Great place. Exactly as advertised. The only knock would be that the road to get to it was absolutely impassable in a regular vehicle. Had I not had my side by side ATV with me, we would not have been able to even get to the home. A little warning to renters this time of year would be helpful.

The house was perfect for our family of 4 to enjoy and be based at for nearby skiing. The owners were easy to work with and made the check-in (including leaving the lights on for us) seamless. Would stay in again!

Fun stay close to the lake
We enjoyed the house. It was clean and kitchen was well equipped. Loved the fireplace and view of lake. Kids did some sledding in backyard. Close location for skiing and ice fishing.

Beautiful location, cozy cottage, wonderful hosts!
We had a wonderful weekend, and this was by far the easiest rental that I've scheduled. In typical Montana fashion, we got to experience 3 different seasons in 48 hours (showed up in shorts, left in snow gear). The kids had a blast playing in the snow, then warming up by the fireplace. Even had moose in the yard on our last day. Was also wonderful to have a great kitchen to stay in and cook. Would highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back!

2nd annual family trip to Georgetown Lake
We had a wonderful time on our second annual stay at Georgetown Lake. The house was great and very comfortable. One morning we were treated to a moose walking on the road just behind the house. Moose Marina was great to have so close for our recreation needs and the view of the lake from the deck was fantastic. Great place to stay!!

Gorgeous view, Ideal location
This property was very comfortable. The view was outstanding. The owners were delightful. We loved that there was a scope there for us to see the moose that wade in the lake. We also experienced 2 bucks sparring right in the yard. It was a unique experience. This location was great for us, as it's close to sapphire mining and fishing. We will be back.

Terrific Cottage
Everything about this cottage is comfortable and the yard is very pet friendly. Stunning view of the Lake. A Great Grey Owl was spotted hunting in the yard - really cool. Anything we needed was provided and the "binder" has great suggestions for activities . Wish we could have stayed longer.

Stay on Georgetown Lake
This home sits just above Georgetown Lake. The window and deck are set perfectly to catch the lake at sunset. We also were able to watch a barn owl and a fishing eagle. The view was always beautiful! In addition, it is close to many sites of the area. We were happy to have a less than 10 minute drive to Discovery Ski resort. The residence itself had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay. Two bathrooms and bedrooms, a laundry room, an ample stash of games and dvds (we didn't have need of them, but there are toys and books for children as well.), along with a fully equipped kitchen worked well for us, but the fireplace made it all the more cozy. It also has a two-car garage and an outdoor grill. If given the opportunity, we will definitely look into renting this place again.

Perfect Getaway
Our family had a wonderful stay at the Georgetown Lake Lookout. The house is clean and cosy. Discovery's ski hills are close, the backyard is great for fun sledding, and the neighborhood is lovely. And the view from the house is stunning. I will remember my perfect, snugly mornings drinking coffee by the fire, gazing at the sun rising on a beautiful snow covered lake. We hope to stay there again!

Perfect Spot
Everything about this property was great! The location was quiet, right near the lake and a short drive from the skiing. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a family of 5 (large pots and pans and plenty of dishes). But the absolute best part of the stay was our host! She was extremely accommodating and responsive. She helped us before the trip with information to plan activities, she was flexible with us when our flight was canceled, and she answered all of our questions quickly and thoroughly.

We had the misfortune of frigid temperatures, but that didn't spoil our fun. The house was the perfect getaway for us and our kids are well as our friends. We needed a place to rent after selling our home in PA and buying our new home in MT. This home had literally EVERYTHING you could possibly need for you stay and we were able to bring our pets!! This place was perfect for us and our dog. We loved the views of Georgetown Lake and the quietness of the location. Our dog loved the open space and front porch. I can’t recommend this home enough. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely look to stay here again.

Perfect cabin for our family
We loved our stay at this cabin. It was comfortable and perfect for our family of four. The owner was incredibly nice and accommodating when I made a mistake about our check in day. She let me add an extra day since the cabin happened to be available, which I was very appreciative of. The property manager, on the other hand was not as nice or accommodating. She yelled at my family members for driving down what they thought was the street, but was actually her unmarked driveway. We had no idea, as it isn’t marked and seems like it’s just part of the street. We never would have driven that way had we known. While she was yelling at my aunt, who was not even staying at the house, she brought up that we showed up on the wrong day and she “let” us check in early. I would recommend steering clear of her. Other than our experience with her, the cabin was lovely.

The property was nicely located with a overlook of the lake. The property was well furnished and very comfortable. We enjoyed watching a family of Robins in the nest and the Hummingbirds who visited the feeder. The two car garage was very large to park a boat and truck.

Beautiful views
Whitney’s place was a terrific find. It was far away from the hustle & bustle. The closest grocery store/restaurant were all 25 minutes away. Not too far or too close. The views of the lake were beautiful. The house many thoughtful touches like multiple fire places and two patios perfect to watch the sunset from. All 4 of us worked remotely during the length of our stay and had no major issues with the internet. Additionally the fully equipped kitchen & the TV loaded with several streaming services was awesome.
