From Anchor Point, the well-known city of Anchorage is 120 miles (193 kilometers) to the northeast.
No towns are identical; each has its own unique qualities. So, take to the wide open road and visit a few of the other places surrounding Anchor Point. Places in the vicinity of Anchor Point are Fritz Creek, 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the west, and Ninilchik, 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the south.
Homer is 14 miles (23 kilometers) from Anchor Point. This regional center features a diverse range of things to see, including Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center, Homer Harbor and Pratt Museum. Homer Spit and Kachemak Bay State Park are some more visitor attractions worth checking out for those who have time to spare.
Visitors with special interests will love the region's wildlife spotting tours. Plan a trip during winter and try out some of the local wintersports such as snowboarding and skiing. Both of these are popular in the South Central Alaska.
