Pros: Staff is absolutely Amazing!!!
Cons: Rooms could use a bit of updating, beds and pillows as well.
Location: Natural and pristine
Hotel Staff are incredible. they will do anything to make your stay more pleasing. Scenery is incredible. Room furnishings are basic not luxurious. 1 day there was a problem with electricity and jacuzzi didn't work. there is no pool.

Small Hope Bay Lodge = Paradise on Earth

Posted Mar 1, 2011 on Hotels
We had a fabulous time at this low-key beach and diving resort on the Bahamian island of Andros. We were looking for a place that was quiet, unpretentious and laid-back, close to nature, and free from the plague of high-maintenance tourists. We found what we were looking for, and more: simple carrbean-style bungalows with the sound of lapping waves coming in through the window, beautiful views, good food, and good company, and beautiful reef diving. We have had the good fortune to be able to travel around the world and see other places of this style and caliber, and they are indeed very rare gems indeed. A one-of-a-kind experience!!

The fishing was spectacular for bonefish as well as offshore for dolphin and wahoo. And the lodge really exceeded my expectations. The rooms are okay, but I was only in mine to sleep. The rest of the lodge is impressive, especially the outside bar and dining area. But what really made the trip so incredible was the staff. They went out of their way to make my traveling companion comfortable -- it was her first trip outside the US, and she was a bit nervous. Dennis and Ashley took her out snorkeling, and she loved it (I was off fishing everyday). By the end of the trip she did not want to leave! The fishing guide was very knowledgeable and fun. I will definitely be going back soon as it was a wonderful experience. And the food is really good as well.

Nice place, No Frills

Posted Jan 14, 2005
Very hospitable poeple but don't seem to deal with anything out of their ordinary routine very well. Very good place for bonefishing and diving. The beds are definitely not the most comfortable and we heard that from many of the customers. Nice place if you don't want the busyness of a large resort. Quite relaxing.
