We enjoyed our stay at the Ickale hotel. It is the best hotel in Ankara. We had experience with other hotels in this area. We love the breakfast. The staff is very kind and helpful. Miraç is so nice and kind. All other staff members are very polite, professional and kind. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

For visa purposes I had to stay very long in Ankara and among all other hotels I’ve stayed at - this is the very best! Overall I lived here for about 2 weeks. Being recently renovated, outside view is great and really stands out. Interior design is amazing and very consistent. Reception service is outstanding and very friendly. Anything they can help with or fix, they are available, 24/7. Traveling solo, I felt safe. Location is superb, quiet street but very close to everything needed. Room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, selection of pillows is diverse. Breakfast is a bit repetitive, but I did live very long. Overall breakfast was good and nourishing. View from breakfast lounge is great! ☺️ Pub on ground floor is very cool, good food and nice beer selection. Separate and additional notes about spa and pool. I’ve chosen this hotel specifically for it, and I was not disappointed. Good massage, spacious pool, sauna, hammam, relaxation area, gym. Operating hours in November were 10am-10pm. Above all I was very much impressed by courtesy and professionalism of Spa manager Erkan.☺️ Thank you very much! Very tactful, attentive and professional. If I come back to Ankara, I will only stay in this hotel!

Maybe this was my worst stay in Ankara, the room is very old, very small bathroom that you can’t use. One elevator that can’t fit, no internet connection, not clean …. You need to think for a hundred time before booking the room, the staff are good, the reception is not answering your calls. Excellent neighborhood…

OK, but??
people were nice, but air conditioning in room did not work well; got the nice suite and it sucked when trying to sleep as the restaraunt was right above it and they didn't close until 12, then dragging chairs around over our heads for at least 2 hours after that. Also, no room service was a drag.

Located just near the coolest street and neighborhood (perfect location). The hotel is clean and provided us with great hospitality. The staff was very helpful. The hotel owner, Mr. Aker, is very thoughtful and caring for guests. He has guide my parents throughout their stay. Mr. Aker went above and beyond during COVID crisis not to only offer his personal accommodation within this unprecedented time but also helping them secure essential items to make their stay more comfortable. Due to Mr. Aker's personal care, the Gordion hotel will be the only place we stay in Ankara. In addition to the great service, he has become a wonderful friend :)) Overall experience was awesome. I'll recommend this hotel to every couple and families :). You wont regret, just be there :)

Need of tender loving care
The place is in need of A dire facelift. Gordion was at one time A premier Hotel. There is no attempt made to repair or replace broken, torn or old fixtures. The Spa section is closed, so there is no chance to relax and unwind. If you are staying one night and/or don’t have much expectation, it will do. In general things are very tired and the ambience is quite dormant. There are better choices to be made.

Nice four star-ish hotel but cleaning and management a little sloppy. Rubbish not emptied for a couple of days, no Joel info or instructions about facilities though there was good and detailed information on what to do in an emergency. TV system hard to operate and had no international channels at all. Everything Turkish and many religious channels but pop and music channels not available which I found very strange. Guests like music and they want channels in other languages. But this is a nice building with god location so please just tighten up the management and supervision a little to make it excellent.

Overall very good to excellent
Great hotel for the price: friendly service, comfortable and clean room, very good breakfast buffet, and great location. My main reasons for not giving a perfect score are: incorrect description of amenities, namely airport shuttle and slow wifi service.

Hayal kırıklıgı
Eski ve bilindik bir otel ve yeri de cok iyi diye sectik. Ama temizlik gercekten cok kotu. Eski ya da yıpranmış olabilir ama bu pis, kirli olmasını gerektirmez. Maalesef bu kadar pis, tozlu, her tarafı leke ve saç dolu bir otel odası ile karşılaşmayı beklemiyorduk. Havluları artık atmaları o yırtık pırtık çarşafları değiştirmeleri gerekiyor. Bir daha asla.

Great staff, delicious and fresh breakfast. Beautifully designed hotel. I loved seeing Ataturk related art works! Harika, guler yuzlu ve yardim sever calisanlar. Kahvalti kaliteli urunlerden olusuyor ve taze gunluk hazirlaniyor. Otelin tasarimi harika. Ataturk ve Cumhuriyet tarihini yansitan bir ambiyans. 2 kez kaldim nerdeyse 1 hafta, kesinlikle tavsiye ederim. Ozellikle resepsiyondaki arkadaslar tek kelime ile harika

Recommended for a stay.
Great hotel to stay at. I stayed 3 nights. Everything in a new condition. Only 2 comments for hotel consideration. 1. Window curtains are not wide enough to block out outsde light for sleeping. 2. Room was mostly too warm with no means of cooling down other than opening window on to streer.
