Well situated to visit a great variety of villages of ancient history/archaeological or typical local life interest. Situated in one of the highest sea level of the village which provides an entire clear view of the village, sea and mountains. Away from the main roads and village which gives a peaceful environment with soothing sounds of nature. The beautiful sandy beach of Kalives only 15 min drive. Lovely villa that’s very quiet
Really well equipped and spacious, comfortable villa. Lots of outdoor space and a nice pool. You definitely have to have a car to get around. Close to great places to visit and a good position on the island for visiting major sites.

If you are looking to get away from the busy city center this is where you need to stay. The mountain and sea views will be the first thing you see when you wake and what a great way to start the day! The walk to the village for dinner and supplies is simple and enjoyable. The house is fantastic and spacious with a beautiful pool!! The host Pon has become my new friend and was available for questions or anything all the time. I booked this Villa without knowing anything about the area and I found my jewel! Thank you Pon for everything and I hope to return soon. Jenny, Shelly and Anna

Wonderful Villa with Stunning views for family or Couple
Our stay at this villa was a very pleasant experience. The Villa is excellent with magnificent view of the Ocean and surrounding Mountains. It was also very well equipped with a wonderful and inviting open plan kitchen, and all the necessities: towels, bed linen, dishes, cutlery, you name it the Villa had plenty. We very much enjoyed our time on the sun loungers on its private swimming pool, that was furnished with all what we needed. The villa was very clean and everything was spotless. Since other review mentioned a problem with the beds, we made a point to check them on arrival. We found them to have brand new mattresses of very good quality and very comfortable. The Villa is in a very private and quite spot so we enjoyed a peaceful holiday. Also we had a great time in Kalives's sandy beach, 15 minutes away by car. We would highly recommend staying at this place while visiting Crete. It would be a fabulous choice. The host went above and beyond. He was a fabulous host.

Glorious Villa
We loved our stay in Kefalas - to the extent that we wanted to stay longer! The Villa is 2 bedroom and is well equipped, located away from the main tourist area in a small Village served by 2 small shops and 3 Tavernas. This gives a more authentic feel of Crete than staying in the more commercialised resorts, in my view. It takes around 40 mins to get there from Chania Airport. It has glorious view of the sea but no local beach. A car is a must, but once the narrow and winding local roads are mastered, access across the island is easy with larger towns and fantastic beaches easily reached. I would also recommend a sat nav but Pon send comprehensive details for locating the Villa. Pon is a fantastic host who is incredibly helpful and accessible. One watch out would be that someone with mobility problems might have difficulty using a steep access road and steps to the upper floor of the Villa.

Das Haus ist perfekt für Familien. Sehr ruhige Lage, toller Pool, sehr tolle Aussicht. Im Dorf sind tolle Restaurant die zu Fuß zu erreichen sind. Wir waren mit unseren 3 Kindern eine Woche auf Kreta und konnten uns sehr gut erholen. Immer zu empfehlen, das Haus ist perfekt für Familien, Terrasse, Pool, Grill, Küche alles gut ausgestattet. Gern kommen wir wieder.

Logan Villa 2 Kefalas Perfect private and very quiet location
The villa has everything you could possibly need and communication with the owner has been quick, easy and helpful, he couldn’t have done more. Villa: Fully fitted kitchen with large dining table, lots of utensils & appliances. Large bathroom with shower & full sized bath. Comfortable bedrooms with ample clothes hanging space. Both have access to balcony. Views across the bay are breath-taking. Living room has chaise longue & settee. Large flat screen TV with built in DVD. 2nd downstairs toilet with sink & washing machine. Two double patio doors to outside. Outside: Large dining table. Lots of sunbeds plus separate seating area to the side. Pool not large but big enough to swim and cleaned each week. Very private & quiet. Area: Kefalas a lovely unspoilt village with friendly tavernas, well-stocked supermarket & shop. Def hire a car. Great position for visiting other areas. Rural yet but not far from national road. Places to visit: Vamos - 15min drive. Tavernas, olive oil factory, chemist, health centre, bank, ATM and fab bakery. Kalyves - 25min drive. Tavernas, shops, bars and beach area tucked away. Georgioupoli - 30min drive. Lots of restaurants, tavernas, shops & central square with fountains. Good beach, walk along causeway to Agios Nikolaos Chapel. Recommend Mythos tavern next to square and Port Café for cocktails Lake Kournas - 15min drive from centre of Georgioupoli. Pedalos to hire (€10 per hour) Fresh water turtles & wildlife with stunning mountain backdrop. Tavernas & free parking Old Chania - 45min drive. Venetian harbour with narrow cobbled streets, shops, bars, def worth a visit. Rethymno - 45min drive. Narrow streets, browse shops without being hawked but step inside for friendly welcome. Fortress of Fortezza in Rethymno. Great views across harbour and city (€4) Monastery of Arkadi - 40min drive from Rethymno. Beautiful working monastery with gardens very tranquil. Def worth a visit. (€4) Ruins of Aptera - 20min drive. Amazing ruins, really get a feel for ancient times. (€4) Chora Sfakia – 90min drive through mountains. Lovely harbour village with boat hire & ferries to visit nearby islands. Matala - 2.5hr drive. Laid back hippy vibe, lots of bars & restaurants. Pretty harbour with good beach. Lots of caves to explore (€4)

Amazing villa, stunning location, super friendly and helpful owner!
We had a perfect experience. The Villa has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable, stress free holiday. So beautiful, spacious and clean with excellent facilities, including its laundry facilities. Sitting in the balcony at sunrise is a glorious spiritual experience with such calm and stunning views of the sea and mountains, so quiet, so peaceful. The infinity pool waterfall just adds to this incredible relaxing atmosphere. Although in a quiet and relaxing spot, it is also so close to the local tavernas, just 5 minutes’ walk, with amazing friendly people. We experienced real authentic Cretan life and hospitality. A truly ideal location, that allows for exploring surrounding areas with ease. The best location to have a perfect rest but also an entertaining holiday. Pon, the owner was extraordinarily helpful. We could not fault the service provided at the villa, from the clear instructions to reach the villa, the amazing welcome breakfast, to the care to make sure we were having a pleasant stay at his villa. And I should not forget mentioning his help, his excellent recommendation of a very friendly and reasonably priced rental car hire. A most wonderful holiday experience!

Well equipped villa with incredible views!
Such a lovely villa, with the experience made so much better by Pon, the host. He took has taken time to ensure we are truly comfortable and happy in the villa. Nothing has been too much trouble for him to help us. His main goal was to ensure a great holiday. The pool was lovely and kitchen well equipped with all you need with a young family. There was a high chair, cot and even a buggy! Black our shutters for us is a must-which is so wonderful for day naps with children. Air con was fabulous, sometimes we even got chilly! Pon also organised our rental car which was very competitive and free additional driver and free kids seats! Highly recommend using this rental too! We are so happy with the experience-Pins directions to the house were also brilliant as we arrived late at night. We were also welcomed with fruit, milk, juice and coffee-which was excellent after a late night and not being able to get to shop first thing! He has thought of everything! Thank you!

Crete Village Experience
Want to be away from the hordes? Come yo this property. There are 3 good tavernas in the village, all within a 5 minute walk. The local population are very friendly and you can experience some real Cretan hospitality.

The location is beautiful with superb views and very peaceful. The owner was very helpful prior to our stay. We were however very disappointed with the overall cleanliness of the villa and had to buy cleaning products and spend precious relaxation time in an endeavour to make the toilets, bathroom and kitchen useable. We did notify the owner at the end of our stay but chose not to do so before because we did not want to be disturbed. We have rented villas on Crete for many holidays and this was our first poor experience . It is such a shame because the villa has huge potential and just presents as unkempt with broken items and poor decor.

Great place in the mountains.
Great location, all the comforts of home, in the middle of Rethymnon and Chania, so easy to visit both areas. Nice pool, quiet area, nice house with lovely views. Pon very helpful and answered any questions immediately. All in all a great stay. Thanks.

Great holidays in Crete
Very nice villa, well equipped, spacious, clean, with a fabulous view. Very nice pool too, even if it was a little too cool to jump in. It is furthermore unfortunately not heated. The beds for the children were comfortable, the double bed was too soft for us. Very nice and helpful owner. Clear instructions to find the place. Very good place to live in and to discover the west part of this beautiful island.

Worms
Unfortunately our stay was terrible! Don´t go there during the fall anyways, since the place is crowded with worms, both outside and inside the villa. The bottom of the pool was invaded with worms as well and no one was there to clean it up during our whole stay. The place inside wasn´t either that good cleaned and I had to throw out about 20 worms when we arrived, they were everywhere. If you touched them they excreted some horrible smell. The pool isn't at all that big as it is said in the description but it doesn´t matter since no one felt like swimming in it because of the crowd of worms. The only thing good about the place was the view. Unfortunately we didn´t want to sit outside on the terrace since the worms crawled all the way up here too. We booked a hotel our remaining stay which made this a very expensive holiday. And no feedback from the owner even though we emailed lots of times.

Excellent location
The apartment is well equipped and in an excellant location for the beach, bars, resturant and small supermarkets, with an excellent sea view. Pool area lovely and very well kept. Nice touch is the items left for your arrival, tea, coffee, milk and fruit. Balcony lovely at the front and back of the accommodation. A few annoying things were the small bathrooms, TV which had no change of channels, alhough this didn't unduly concern us, and an outside light which couldn't be switched on in the dark. We were staying at the apartment for two weeks and after a week we thought we should have got our towels and bedding replaced, but when we enquired, we were told there would be a charge. This seems wrong. We washed the bedding etc., ourselves in the machine provided, but realised what would we have done had it been raining plus had we wanted to leave it on whilst we went out we couldn't have done. We did, however have a lovely holiday, especially enjoyed the family run restaurants in local villages and the nearby walks.

Wonderful apartment
Wife and I had a great fortnight in April at Pons apartment, comfy bed good shower and all the kit you would need for a good holiday. The thing we loved the most were the views , big back balcony has sea and village views, while the front balcony has views of olive trees and the mountains. The village is large enough to have everything you need restuarants and shops while being small enough to make friends . Our favourite restuarant was Dimitris , but to be fair we never had a bad meal . We are keeping an eye on flight prices as we would love to come back Thanks again Pon Jim & Dawn

Good views and good location
We had a lovely time staying at this apartment. It's a first floor apartment with balconies on the front and the back with great views in all locations. The balcony out the back looks onto the pool which is share by a few other apartments. A slight downside is that the sun dips behind the buildings relatively early in the evening (at least when we stayed there in late April/early March) Almyrida appears to be an up-and-coming town with a lot of new developments happening. It has a good variety of tavernas and shops within 5-10 minutes from the apartment. It's also easy to reach the highways to go to Chania or Rethymno or further. From the apartment it is possible to explore a few villages and rural areas by foot. The host was helpful by providing clear directions to the apartment from Chania airport, and checked up with us on the last day to ensure everything was going well. We would recommend staying here.

Beautiful view, spacious Villa, super great place!!
We had a perfect overall experience staying here! We initially booked 4 nights but ended up staying for 6. We were lucky enough that Pon was on Crete during our visit and staying in the Villa next door and could help us out with whatever questions we had from the very start. Pon was genuinely very friendly and incredibly accommodating to everything we asked for and needed! The town of Kefalas is very small but relaxing. We loved it there. We spent our down time beside the pool which was perfect. Our favourite beach nearby was georgiopolis - about 15 minute drive away. We also did day trips to Rethymno and Kalives which had very nice beaches too! Lots to see in Rethymno! Castle and old town were highlights for sure! We did a day trip to the south coast which was surprisingly quick and easy from this location - only about an hour drive to Hora Sfakion then a quick ferry to loutro... And the drive was super beautiful!! We also stopped in at Frangokastello while on the south. The castle and beaches were amazing!! Chania is very close by too but we didn't have time to check it out during our stay. Hopefully next time! I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing spot that's also fairly close to a lot of interesting towns and places. Thanks again Pon!

Absolutely stunning views & villa. Ultimate escape.
This villa is unlike anywhere I have ever stayed before, and I have stayed in lots of Air B&Bs. The views...Oh. My. God. Absolutely amazing, sometimes it's hard to believe that you're actually seeing what you are seeing it is so stunning. The peaceful waterfall from the infinity pool is so relaxing and you don't hear hustle and bustle as there's no cars that will drive past the villa ever because of the designated parking. The villa is clean and the owner is an amazing amazing person. He helped me out at 10pm the night before when I was in a pinch. I am forever grateful for that. He responded immediately to ever question I had and would text or email just to check in because he knew I was traveling alone. He even answered close to 1am when the power went out and I had a mild anxiety attack! (Power came back on within 5 minutes and I assume high winds knocked it out). He is a very gracious person & host. The villa is absolutely comfortable, the balcony off the bedrooms is a great spot for morning coffee with an INCREDIBLE view. The decor is very minimalism which I love because it doesn't clutter the mind and is very clean yet feels like home. There's a washer which was nice to do laundry before leaving, and a very update kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal! The little town is quite quaint and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Although you feel extremely remote and away from it all, it's not a far drive at all to restaurants, beaches and other attractions. This is the perfect villa to relax, unwind, do yoga by the pool and you'll probably not even turn the television on, I didn't. Lots of friendly cats will stop by to say hello also! I am a femal that was traveling along and felt extremely extremely safe staying in the villa. Perfect for families or for singles/couples. You won't regret renting Pon's villa and I hope to be back in the future!

Almyrida - excellent holiday
The apartment we stayed in was really lovely with very large balcony and beautiful views over the bay. The apartment itself was very clean as was the pool. When we did have a problem with the wardrobe doors and a water leak they were immediately rectified. The owner Mr Logan answered any emails and texts straight away and as easy to contact. It was only about a 10minute walk down to the beach and there were many tavernas to eat in. The little resort of Almyrida was lovely and laid back. Altogether a great holiday all round.

Will definitely be returning to Almyrida!
The small resort of Almyrida is paradise. It's not too big and not too small, not too noisy and not too quiet. Lots of wonderful tavernas and bars. The beach, with lots of beds and parasols, is nice and narrow with a shallow walk into the warm sea. Almyrida also has the added benefit of being on a bus route into Chania so no real need to hire a car. The apartment is just a 10 minute walk into the village and was clean and spacious, apart from the bathrooms, which were uniquely bijoux - washing one's face and cleaning teeth was "interesting". The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the washing machine was a bonus although it could only be used whilst in the apartment due to the electricity system. The spacious terrace, which had the sun in the morning and very welcome shade in the evening, had lovely views over the bay with steps down to the refreshing pool. The air-conditioning was an absolute godsend due to a heatwave in Crete! English channels on the Satellite TV were unavailable and there were no instructions and the agent couldn't help which was disappointing. We had a fabulous holiday and we will definitely be visiting Almyrida again.

Nice stay at the Logan villa 2
Good equipment, comfortable beds with good mattresses, comfortable large sofa. TV with many international channels - we did not use it, however, because the beautiful view from the terrace was much more attractive. In our opinion, the house is suitable for up to 5 adults. Pon is a very nice and always accessible landlord. We spent a nice time there, even though it was often very windy (as it seems in the whole Mediterranean during that time) and still too cold for a dip in the pool. The area is beautiful in the spring.
