One of the best hotels during our Greece vacation

The staff were super friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange ground transportation, and we loved the breakfasts they brought to our room. The neighborhood is fantastic, pedestrian streets filled with restaurants and bars. Very comfortable, more like a condo than a hotel.

Lovely apartment in Athens
Great stay on family trip to Athens. The apartment was clean and well equipped for our stay. The pool was a nice bonus (although it was a little cold in May to use it a lot). The area is an interesting and lively part of Athens, with lots of nice cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. It can be a little noisy at night, but the noise settled down reasonably early. The best part of the stay was the friendly service from Joseph - he was very easy to communicate with, very helpful with arranging things like transfers for us and very flexible when we arrived after midnight.

Joseph was very helpful. Breakfast was brought to the room. The hotel is very close to a thriving restaurant area, Syntagma Square and shopping. We walked to the Acropolis too.

Very nice apartment. Great location, walking distance to restaurants, and attractions. Friendly, helpful staff. The only con is it’s so near everything you can hear the loud music from the bar behind. Asides from that everything was excellent.

The one-bedroom property was very well appointed, styled, and I would happy stay here for several days. My only critique is that the property pool is small and unheated, which I now understand is is typical for Athens (but not something I experience much in the States). The area looks a bit rough when you first arrive, but as the sun sets the graffiti fades, the twinkling lights appear and the area comes alive with a fun and pleasant vibrancy. It felt safe and invited further exploration. Plus, the ancient sites are in easy walking distance. The early morning (5 a.m.) airport transfer arranged by the property was on-time and in a beautiful luxury vehicle with an excellent English-speaking driver. I highly recommend this service. Reception is not regularly staffed the property manager is a bit too insistent regarding what time we would be arriving. Because we were driving and had several stops along the way, this was difficult to anticipate. Though understandable, I found this level of communication burdensome and prefer to have more space for spontaneity. That said, the reception staff were wonderful. (Because we would be leaving early, that evening they fetched breakfast for our family that we would be able to take with us in the morning - very thoughtful. Overall, I hightly recommend the property.

Great base in a trendy part of the city
Great location - surrounded by nice bars and restaurants. Helpful staff who accommodated all our requests. Courtyard garden was wonderful for a quick dip in the pool after a hot days exploring and a quiet glass of wine in the evening after dinner. Breakfast was delicious and enough for lunch too! Would highly recommend

My apartment was on the second floor. The place was clean and sufficient amount of space. The check-in process was simple and efficient. The receptionist was nice and provided instructions relating to the property. Com: Be prepared there's no elevator, steep staircases. So if you have heavy luggage it can be problem. The location of the apartment is perfect. There's a variety of restaurants nearby and your near the downtown area. The issue is when we checked out, we spoke to the receptionist to have a taxi transport us to the airport at 930 am. We waited 45 mins and they hadn't arrived. I had to walk a block away to get a last minute taxi for 3 people and all our luggages. There was also no one to help bring out luggage down. I will say I contacted the receptionist and she apologize. And was concerned about us making our flight on time. Also there was a small complimentary breakfast at a local cofee place which included juice or coffee, a croissant and a small sandwich which was perfect for breakfast

Amazing location and beautiful apartment. Booked the traditional apartment and it had so much character. Had to do a late check in due to late flight and the staff made sure everything was set for our arrival. Will definitely recommend and looking forward to stay there again.

Superb Location and staff.
All the reviews are spot on for this hotel. Maria arranged the taxi for our collection at the airport and was on hand during the duration of our stay to answer any questions we had. Breakfast choices come in a box, but were very nice. The internal photos are exactly as we found it. The location is ideal for your stay in Athens. I stay away alot for my work and I can honestly say this was the best experience I have had in a very long time, I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

An absolute gem!
It was just like being home and so close to hundreds of restaurants and the main sights of central Athens. The staff was absolutely super and Maria could not do enough to make sure our stay was extraordinary. Always prompt to answer any questions we would have, on the internet or in person. Making taxi reservations, indicating sights to visit, even getting me distilled water for my CPAP, before our arrival. That's service!!!! We highly recommend the Ahtenian Residences, for a peaceful, clean, friendly and safe environment.

Lovely apartment with a view over the pool. Property felt safe and secure. Also within walking distance to all the main attractions. Host, Maria was lovely and helpful. We had a late check-in and she provided really clear access instructions for my friends who arrived before me. Having 2 bathrooms was great, just the shower was a little odd as it was located in WC - as opposed to having a shower in the bathtub. However the water was freezing cold (or we couldn’t get the hot water to work). Breakfast was really nice done although perhaps a little sweet (we wish it had some more savoury items). The team at Athenian Residence also were nice enough to provide the breakfast much earlier considering our very early checkout. Overall very pleased with this property. Wish we had stayed longer!

Brilliant stay at these lovely apartments
Lovely modern apartments and great location. Restaurants just 100 yards away but still quiet at night. Can walk easily to Acropolis and all the museums. Nothing was too much trouble for Maria. Gave us directions to the beach and other places. Bought us chilled drinks when we were around the pool! Apartment was fab. Lovely bedroom and living area. Even has Netflix! Would definitely stay here again.

I cannot say enough good things about our 4-day stay at Athenian Residences! The building itself is beautifully preserved and has been expertly restored with extensive attention to period details. Exposed brick walls and beam ceilings with chic, comfortable and space-efficent furnishings throughout. Excellent location near funky flea market shops, kid-friendly stores and cafes, and restaraunts from around the world. Walking distance to Acropolis Museum, metro station and other landmarks. But the best aspect was the 5-star customer service. Maria, the manager, attended to our every need. She even bought toys and puzzles for our children that were waiting for us wien we arrived! She also ordered food for us, arranged transport to sites and the airport, and walked us to a local cafe when we were nervpus about getting lost. Exceptional service at an exceptional property in an exceptional location!

We stayed at this hotel/apartment in Feb 2019 and I can’t praise this hotel/ apartment enough. From the word go Maria went above and beyond with the customer service we received, a taxi was arranged through the hotel to collect us from the airport which is reasonable prices and time saving, on arrival we were greeted warmly and shown where we would be staying at first I thought it would be a room but it was an incredible sized apartment, the living area is a great size and spacious, the homemade lemonade was an amazing touch, the bedroom was a great size, we have two bathrooms where we could wash and use without disturbing one another. Throughout our stay Maria was brilliant, she kept us up to date and if we required anything extra she ensursed we were catered too, the rooms are exceptionally decorated. The location was great the acropolis, Roman agora and temple of Poseidon was a short walk and there are restaurants everywhere which offer great food and reasonably priced even being a capital city. I can’t thank Maria and the hotel enough for providing a great and high level of service, our stay was made enjoyable and stress free. I would recommend this hotel to everyone as it’s a 35 minutes taxi journey from the airport and cost on €40 euros each way. We went out of season and if you choose to visit Athens please use this hotel. Thank you and we would use this hotel again.

Fabulous Apartments
This place was amazing, in a great location close to Acropolis. 3 mins walk from the apartment was lots of Restuarant’s & bars. The host was excellent, friendly & welcoming. The service & amenities were of a very high quality standard. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Appartement très fonctionnel, propre et calme, pratique pour une famille, très bien situé en centre ville à coté des sites antiques. Merci à Dimitris qui a été très accueillant et attentif pendant tout notre séjour.

Die Unterkunft ist von der Lage perfekt da wir mitten im Zentrum waren. Rundherum viele Restaurants und Bars und die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind auch alle in der Nähe. Ausstattung und Sauberkeit war auch alles zur Zufriedenheit und dass Frühstück ist immer pünktlich geliefert worden. Für uns war es ein schöner Urlaub.

Die Unterkunft hätte nicht besser sein können. Alles war super schön und sehr sauber. Das Frühstück wurde jeden Morgen angeliefert und war sehr lecker. Und das beste war die Lage mitten in Psyri. Super Viertel mit Restaurants und Bars an jeder Ecke und dennoch war das Apartment sehr ruhig. Das Viertel hat uns besser gefallen als Plaka, da es weniger touristisch wirkte und sehr viel Charme hat. Wir haben uns zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit sicher gefühlt. Alles war problemlos zu Fuss erreichbar. Weniger als 15 Minuten zur Akropolis. Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen!

Ich muss zugeben, ich habe dieses Hotel aus 3 Gründen ausgewählt: Schlafplatz für 4 Personen, zentrale Lage und die Bilder von den Zimmern. Deswegen war zuerst enttäuscht, dass wir nicht in den vorderen 2 Appartments gewohnt haben, nur diese haben die Steinwände und diesen gewissen Flair. Die 3 andere Appartments haben "normale" weisse Wände. Im Nachhinen war das aber für uns besser, da die hintere Appartment auf einer Ebene sind (keine schmale Wendetreppe), geräumiger sind, und grösse Küche mit Essbereich sowie 2 Bäder haben. In jedem Zimmer TV mit Netflix. Frühstück konnte man sich entweder liefern lassen oder im Cafe etwa 50 m nebenan bekommen. Super lecker, auch wenn jeden Tag das gleich gab: frisch gepressten O-Saft oder Heissgetränk, Croissant, und einen grossen Sesambagel mit Frischkäse, Tomaten und Schinken. Abwechslung gab es bei Keks vs. Donutäquivalentgebäck. Lage ist super. Viele leckere Restaurants quasi vor der Tür. Man muss aber wissen, dass nachts entsprechend lange laut ist, wobei bei den hinteren 3 Appartments man davon deutlich weniger als vorne hört. Kommunikation mit der "Rezeption" per Tel oder Whatsapp ging super. Für die Kids wurde Corona Test für die Heimreise organisiert. Alles top.
