I am thrilled the hotel had an ambiance of the old and new. the dining in the evening with the spectacular rooftop view of the Acropolis was an added benefit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The convenience and walkability to the main sites was wonderful. So much shopping and restaurants nearby as well. My view wasn't the best but who needed it with the real activities so close by. I highly recommend the Athens Gate Hotel!

The hotel has a lovely location. It could not be better. Close to all the attractions. On a personal note we arrived tired after 30 hours of travel and 1:30 am in the morning and the hotel employee was very rude and brusque. We had opted for a nice room and had to be downgraded to another room because of an ant infestation. On the plus side the hotel discounted our room which we appreciated.

The view from the room was incredible you can see the Acropolis and other ruins! The rooftop restaurant breakfasts were delicious. We also had a romantic dinner there. It's so easy to walk ro restaurants, ruins, shopping and more! Loves staying at this hotel!

The hotel is at a central location near the Acropolis. The room is smallish but we'll updated and the staff is wonderful. The rooftop restaurant has the best view of the Acropolis.

Within walking distance to all the main attractions, shopping and restaurants. However it's on a very busy street, and couldn't enjoy the balcony due to street noise. Excellent overall.

the perfect location! Walking distance to the Acropolis, Zeus Temple, Restaurants & flea market in very close proximity! What a great find! The hotels 8 th floor restaurant had a great view of the Acropolis that could not be beat! The food as delicious! We loved everything about Athens Gate Hotel! Extremely good location, near to most attractions, shopping and dining. The roof top restaurant is highly recommended, please remember to reserve your seat for dinner with incredible sunset view. Our room has a large balcony, we spent the whole night there with bottle of wine and beautiful night scenery. Lastly, the staffs are nice, efficient and patience.

Great location! Restaurant is awesome and the staff were all so welcoming and nice. Only negative thing was our room was on a non smoking floor but you can still smell smoke in the room so that was a little disappointing during the night for sleeping.

Staff here is next level. Always willing to help with whatever you need. We booked dinner reso at the hotel restaurant but due to Athens traffic, of course, we were late but they accommodated us so quickly. We had the best view of the Acropolis not only for dinner but in our room as well. This hotel is incredible. The toiletries literally upped their rep too. I want to buy them all!! Obsessed with this hotel.

Great location for the sights in central Athens. The Acropolis and attendant museum literally around the corner. Shopping and dining options in nearby Plaka. Rooftop bar must be used if only to see the view. Staff friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

We stayed here for two nights in March of 24. The check in was easy and the room was very nice. The room was clean and modern and had space to unpack your clothes. We had a great view of Hadrian’s Arch from our window. Maybe a 5 minute walk to the south entrance of the Acropolis. Eerything is an easy walk from the hotel.

What a fabulous hotel! It is so central, close to all the tourist sites and transport. The staff are wonderful. The room and bathroom were spotless, modern and spacious. The view of the Acropolis from the rooftop restaurant is amazing! I would certainly stay there again!

I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel as everything is perfect - the best run hotel I've ever stayed. To save my searching time I searched only for an Expedia VIP property near the attractions and quickly found/booked this hotel months before our trip, and immediately liked it when we walked in about the people and things there. Best for us: its location, conditions, friendly staff and food etc. We dined at its rooftop restaurant the night before our flight home, and enjoyed every moment of the fine-dining there! Oh the bottle of red wine greeting us in the room with the manager' handwriting card - thanks - was nice!
