“Nice room, with excellent bathroom. The outside needs tidying up and some painting, so we were initially concerned when we arrived, but the rooms were fine. Nice quiet location too. The cafe is shut due to staff illness, looks like has been for a while but the Two Flags cafe a mile down the road is excellent for all day breakfasts, especially if you like motorbikes.”

“Host there to welcome us when we arrived. He helped to carry in the luggage and showed us how the hot water and heating worked. Amenities were ideal with breakfast food items included plus a bottle of Prosecco and shortbread as a thoughtful Christmas gift. The property had been decorated for Christmas - another kind and thoughtful touch. The property was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. “The room itself was decent and had everything I needed, but the atmosphere felt off, a faint stale smell, like it hadn’t been opened up for a while. The real shocker, though, was the enormous mural of a man’s face directly opposite the bed. It’s so big that when I woke up in the middle of the night, I genuinely jumped. It felt uncomfortable having it stare right at me. Other details like the amenities and Wi‑Fi were fine, but that mural definitely stole the show for all the wrong reasons.”
