Boutique Hotel Gone Bad

Wavecrest was a bad experience for me, I was there during the low tourist season and only another one guest was booked in. The swimming pool was half filled with dirty water and therefore not usable. The restaurant was closed and the only meal available was breakfast. Breakfast was equally bad with only room service as the option and only served eggs, bacon, bread and coffee. I opted to skip the last two breakfasts. The hotel staff are good but it feels like the original hotel described and whose photos appear on Expedia are of the older hotel when it was well maintained now it is just a hotel ran down. I wouldn't go back there.

Pros: Nothing really. It was a disappointment Lacks all the trimmings of a hotel.
Cons: The bathroom needs to be updated to the standard of a regular hotel. No mirror in the room. No rug on the room floor. Looks like an uncompleted projec

Nice hotel, nice quiet location.

Pros: The location was just perfect. Close enough to the beech and other holiday necessities yet it felt like an island far from the maddening crow
Cons: There was not enough variety at breakfast.

It was a very pleasant stay. All my needs weren't covered but the wonderful staff went out of their way to try and satisfy all my requests.
