Family Reunion

We had an excellent stay at Whispering Pines. The host greated us for the walk through and was very accessable for small questions and/or directions throughout the stay. The house was beautiful and fully supplied with quality items in the kitchen, linens, towels, beds etc. All great! The air matresses we all not usable, so that created issues, but we made due with couch/floor sleepers...The attention to detail in the house is great and very inviting. Just a fun space!Wild deer every morning while having coffee, Horse shoes, Tree house, Cornhole, Axe Throwing and a very clean hot tub that with a TV mounted near by! We never left the house for five days, besides a grocery run. It was perfect.Overall, The house was a huge homerun for our long overdue Family Reunion!

Lots of cooking in the large chefs kitchen!

SO WORTH IT!!!

Amazing property! Had my sons wedding here, easily accommodated the wedding party that stayed for the entire weekend and the other 30 who were at the wedding. We cooked for all 45 guests with ease in the well stocked large kitchen. The children with the group loved exploring the wooded area with in sight of the parents. Over all 5 star family experience!!

Family Gathering

There were seventeen of us at this property. The kids really enjoyed all the things available: xbox, foosball, pinball, ladder ball. The house was user friendly and very well equipped with everything. We enjoyed playing together, cooking together and just hanging out. I would recommend this house with a great yard for kids to anyone.

Oh My Goodness!!!

This property is spectacular!! From the finest kitchen set up ever to the most heavenly yard to gather in and play outside. Then there's axe throwing and a hot tub and the most amazing tree house my three year old grandson LOVED and my 88 year old parents HAD to go see. It was splendid. I would definitely come back! Thank you!!!

Cozy Christmas

Our family group of 14 stayed here to enjoy a Christmas celebration and ride the Durango Polar Express! The house is gorgeous and was decorated beautifully for Christmas! The configuration fit our group perfectly, as we ranged in age from 60 to 16mos. The playroom was fantastic for all our grandchildren (they loved all the toys and themes!) and the teen and young adults enjoyed the media room, ax throwing, and beautiful and secluded grounds for a walk. The kitchen was superbly stocked and we ate all our meals at the house rather than fighting large crowds, hungry little ones and long wait times at restaurants. Can’t say enough about this place! Amazing!! We would DEFINITELY stay here again!

Great Location and Space for a Family Gathering

The pictures do not do this property justice. The home was fully stocked with everything you could need which included blow up mattresses, extra blankets, pack n play, laundry detergent, spices, plenty of dishes, grills and towels. The kitchen, living and patio space allowed us to enjoy each others company. The rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. We felt at home. James went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met! The 13 acres was amazing for our kids ages from 2 to 11 to explore for hours. Hope to return soon

Destination wedding in the area

Everyone in our party was blown away by how nice your places is especially our 2 grandkids they loved getting to sleep in the play area and all the other fun things they could do while they were there. All the adults really enjoyed themselves as well, and are already talking about when we can come back next year to enjoy your place again.

Colorado Dream Home

This was such an an amazing stay for our extended family. The house wasn't far from Bayfield and Durango but was very secluded. The furnishings were beautiful- the kitchen was a chefs dream, the views were spectacular including the deer that showed up in the mornings as we had coffee on the deck. This place is set up to meet every expectation - music inside and out, TV's in almost every room, hot tub on the deck, board games, pinball machine, movie theater, temp controls in almost every room, a Traeger smoker and a gas grill, propane firepit for smores as well as a wood burning firepit . We left the property to go sightseeing, but honestly we could have been content without ever leaving. James met us at the property to show us all the controls for the electronics and room controls. He and Dana were very responsive and accommodating. Can't say enough good things. Thanks James and Dana for an epic week!!!

Amazing home with amazing privacy and views

First of all, James, the host was always very prompt to respond to any questions we had. He was very informative and nice to work with. He is very knowledgeable about the area and has suggestions for activities around the lakes and in Durango and beyond. The home was very comfortable with top-grade appliances. We enjoyed the movie theater room, pinball machine, corn hole, outdoor fire pit, axe throwing, and eating outdoors on the patio. The lounge furniture in the living area is super comfortable with plenty of space. The bedrooms all have nightstands with an area to charge devices. We loved the home and the hosts. Can't say enough about this beautiful home and area.
