Nice area

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Cons: cleanliness of the roll away beds
Overall it was acceptable, probably will not stay in the area or at the hotel in the future because it could've been a better experience considering the per night cost was approx $200.00.

Very tired accommodations..

Posted Aug 17, 2015
The check in was par with what one would expect for a holiday weekend taking about 20 minutes. The staff was pleasant but not overtly friendly. Our room faced the parking lot which was extremely full due to the fireworks scheduled for that evening. Parking was not well managed with no spots remaining for hotel guests despite having a special placard. The rooms were very old and tired. The hotel is in dire need of a renovation. Breakfast the next morning was a miserable experience. It appeared there were more than enough servers, but the seating and service was very confusing. The bacon was bland. I have stayed in hotels across the world. This is not a hotel I would recommend to a business or personal acquaintance. Absolutely not worth the cost.

Below average accomodation

Posted Aug 16, 2015
Overall the stay was ok as it was our first visit. My expectation of the room we booked was below average for the price they have charged. I feel I would gotten a luxurious new suite in a high end hotel in the city for $250/-. Here are the issues I found with our accommodation: 1. Peeled wall paper in bathroom 2. No creamer or sugar next to the coffee maker 3. Overly used and faded bathroom towels 4. No free complimentary breakfast offered On top of that it took more than 2 hours to locate the place as it way too deep inside the city But it is a beautiful resort and views are breathtaking where ever you stand outside in the resort area.

Nice rooms, poor service!

Posted Aug 9, 2015
Pros: The room were nice and clean, and the beds were rather comfortable.
Cons: The layout of the hotel, make the rooms more accessible, and separate entrance from the dining room. Also the wait for my room is inexcusable.
This hotel was appealing to the eye, even though there was crowds of people around the resort. Hotel check in was at 5:00 pm, which was rather odd, but I was fine with that it gave me the opportunity to see the town of Bellaire. What I wasn't fine with was my room not being ready at 5:20 pm. So i waited and waited and waited...finally at 6:45 pm I got my room key!!!! I was so excited to see my room, not thinking what it would take to get there. To get to my room I had to go down a floor in the elevator, walk down a long hallway passing three banquet rooms where a wedding was taking place, then go up stairs, then down stairs, then go down stairs again, before reaching the hallway where my room resided. After the long walk to my room i looked out my window to find that i was on the bottom floor or the basement! I didn't want to leave my room after that long walk, but i was starving! So i climbed back upstairs and ate at the lovely restaurant they had at the hotel, unfortunately the dinning room was right next to the check-in / check-out area. so it was loud and made me uneasy while they watched me eat. The food there was good but overpriced, but my waitress was very nice so she made up for it! After dinner i resided to my room down the hill and across the river HAHA. My bed was extremely comfortable, so ill give them that. Overall the hotel wasn't that great and the layout of the hotel was terrible, the hotel was overpriced for the experienced i received and i wouldn't return.

Very nice location.

Pros: The restaurant's food was very good.
Cons: They were showing ELF that night on the outdoor screen. A more contemporary movie would have been better.
Our room was near the bar and you could hear the singer all night. The room door kept shaking when people were coming through the hallway doors and we had to stuff a washcloth between the door and the door jamb to stop the shaking.

Very out dated property. Has huge potential but needs lots of updating. Room had a musty dirty smell to it. Sheets and towels were stained/dingy. Views are beautiful though.

To far from Traverse City

Posted Jun 30, 2015
The price quoted on line was not what was charged. We were charged 75.00 a day more than what Expedia quoted and the hotel was 45 minutes from our destination and was dated and worn.
