Very good experience
We had a great experience thanx to our host and we are happy we chose to stay here. The local bakery doesn’t have coffee, so bring your own to use, the host provides Nespresso machine and coffee pot. Remember to shower in the morning and enjoy your stay!

Lovely little cottage
Small but cute cottage in a great location. Only drawback is no outside space and the sunken bed upstairs was a little challenging due to the gap around it.

Perfect for Normandy Beaches
Lovely little house although not suitable for disabled or people that would find a sunken bed or spiral staircase an issue to use. Other than that.. cheap little rental for a few days to see the beaches of Normandy

Not Quite Transparent
The living room on the second floor merges into the second floor bedroom..The second floor bed is sunken and you need to roll out and into bed to get in it.and the hot water heater is mounted to the wall over the first floor bathroom toilet making it tough not to hit your head when using the toilet.

A great little gite in the Normandie region. The space is a little tight for four adults, but not unworkable. We had a great stay.

Perfect Location
Took my grandson to see Pegasus bridge, Caen Museum and the Normandy beaches. Perfect location. The house was very cosy, warm and with plenty of hot water for showers and a bath. Parking right outside the house. And with a boulangerie just 100 metres away too.

Different but nice
A great place to stay close to Pegasus Bridge. Great host who was very attentive. Would highly recommend if you are mobile, the spiral staircase is tight and the upstairs room arrangements require a little physical flexibility.

Stay in Benouville
The village of Benouville is close to many points of interest in Normandy. The village restaurant was excellent and the boulangerie just up the street was perfect. We enjoyed walks within the village (there is a nice path along the canal right behind the house!) The house was well appointed and provided everything we needed. The reverse plan, with the living room upstairs was nice, but a bit difficult with narrow winding stairs. Those were difficult to manage for some of the older family members.

Pegasus Bridge
Off the beaten path about 20 minutes from the Normandy. Beaches. Quaint little home with a pleasant owner. The home was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. She provided some water and Normandy made cookies which was a nice touch. It was a charming country-like home. The home could use some better basic supplies like hand towels and basic hand soaps that most people will not be traveling with if they are coming from any distance. There was a septic odor on the first floor of the home emanating from the bathroom. I am unsure how easy that is to fix or not but it was quite bothersome to my husband. The restaurants in the area are limited with only 1 being open on a Monday evening.

Cute, cozy and great location!
Great location, very clean and an overall wonderful experience. This home is small but was well equipped for our stay. We had 4 in our party and everything we needed. Audrey was super responsive, welcoming and a pleasant host. The neighborhood is in a great location, you can walk to the local bakery and pastry shop and everything else is a short drive away. Our time in Normandy was absolutely wonderful and this home helped make the trip even better. The local restaurants were tasty and when we didn't eat out the kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home. The spiral staircase with the upstairs living room was unique to the home but everything had been tastefully remodeled and the home was in immaculate condition. I highly recommend this home for your stay in Normandy and can't thank Audrey enough for a wonderful stay.

Small village easy access
The property was comfortable and very clean. The owner takes pride in her property. The location is great with two excellent restaurants a block away. A grocery store and gas is close. At the end of the street there is a walking path down to the river. The apartment has everything you need to prepare meals. The check in and check out process was made very easy. I recommend the property.

Paradise in Benouville!
This property was absolutely wonderful! Quaint, clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The outside terrace and the bikes were an added bonus that any traveller would appreciate! The whole area was perfectly charming, although local businesses close a bit early. Our Hostess and property owner Audrey was a lovely woman that took the time to show us everything and to make recommendations. It was the last leg of our trip and we enjoyed it thoroughly!

Charming Normandy Escape!
We loved our time at Audrey's home in Benouville. It's small, but quaint and was perfect for the three of us - well stocked kitchen, adorable terrace, dish and clothes washers, and comfortable beds. We found it well located for our adventures around the area - D-Day Beaches, Caen, Bayeux, Mont Saint Michel, Honfleur, etc. are all quite accessible. Audrey was great - very responsive and available to answer questions, give advice and show us around the house. Highly recommend!

Fantastic town house in Bénouville
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Audrey's place! Cozy, comfortable, sparkling clean, had all the amenities required, heating worked very well and was needed as it was cold, perfectly situated for a day visit to the Normandy beaches, 5 min walk from the Pegasus bridge, comfortable beds, hot water, instructions on what to do, clear communication, fruit juice left for us, towels loaned to us. Audrey's place comes highly recommended. Excellent value for money, Audrey is the perfect host, what a lovely lady, with a beautiful home. Perfect for 4 to 6 people. We were 5 adults. Enjoyed our stay.

Delightful cottage in heart of Normandy
My son and I wanted to tour the landing beaches and other locations at Normandy and we selected Audrey's wonderful cottage for our base of operations. The physical layout was compact but easy; the circular staircase to the second floor Livingroom and bedroom was unique. There were plenty of cooking utensils as well as plates, cups, silverware etc. The town is on the outskirts of Caen, and all the major attractions are within an hour's drive. We visited Omaha Beach (and cemetery), Pointe du Hoc, Mont Sant Michel, and Bayeau. We couldn't have been happier with our lodgings. I hope to bring my wife back someday.

Beautiful, Quiet Little Home
My wife and I loved this little home in a quiet neighborhood in the heart of the French countryside. We were able to rent a car and tour the Normandy beaches with no trouble at all, as the place seemed to be well-located near the main roads and highways of the northern region. Audrey was extremely accommodating and even provided bikes for us in case we wanted to tour the area a bit more (Pegasus Bridge, a couple restaurants, a brewery, etc.)! We had an overall wonderful experience!

Perfect Historical Location
We really enjoyed our stay at Audrey’s Bénouville apartment. The location was perfect for our visit to the Caen/Normandy area. In fact, the Pegasus Bridge is located about two blocks away. This bridge was the first objective on D-Day. The house by the bridge was the first house liberated during the invasion. We took a nice stroll to this house on the path by the canal and were able to have coffee there on Saturday morning. If you want to tour the Normandy beaches on your own or take a tour (we took an all-day tour with the Bayeux Shuttle which was excellent) Audrey’s location is ideal. On another day we drove an hour and a half to see Mont St. Michel. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable. Audrey could not have been nicer or more welcoming. She came over to greet us and show us around the apartment and wanted to make sure we were comfortable. Because we were in France to celebrate our 40th anniversary she even brought a bottle of champaign for us. The apartment, the location and the owner could not be better. Should we be in this area again we will be back to Audrey’s place.

Fantastic Break in a Charming Property
We had a lovely break in this very traditional cottage. It is well appointed, everything you could possibly need was provided. Very clean and comfortable. A great location for visiting the surrounding area. Audrey is the perfect host. She is very helpful, and easy to speak to with my very limited ability to speak French! If you aren't sure where to visit, Audrey will advise you and there are plenty of leaflets of different places provided. We would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend the property to other people. Thank you Audrey.

Outstanding
Perfect for our needs - a father and daughter visiting Normandy for the first time. Audrey, the property owner was the perfect host. The accommodation suits two couples with bathrooms and bedrooms on two levels. Accommodation which was immaculately neat and clean is located in a quiet side street of Benouville. Two excellent restaurants are located with a 5 minute walk, as is a local 'boulangerie' for your early morning croissants. The famous Pegasus bridge (and museum) is a short walk away along the banks of the Orne canal. Would we return to stay, most definitely.

Fantastic French cottage
My wife and i have just returned from a weeks stay in this cottage. the cottage itself was lovely and had a unique charm about it. it was spotless with all the facilities we could have wished for. The owner was so helpful and gave us lots of information about the local area. The location of the cottage was superb for bike rides to lots of different locations in all directions. We ate out in lots of local locations such as Franceville and Cabourg as well as having a drive out to Bayeux one evening. We will definitely be looking at coming back again one day.

Darling, quaint & charming! We loved our stay & Audrey was delightful.
This was an ‘old post office’ & the stay was wonderful in a small village with lots of history. It’s a short drive to Normandy & many other historical attractions. We would definitely return.
