Very clean and comfortable hotel for the solo traveller; beds are comfortable and good black out curtains. Spacious bathroom and shower with excellent hot water and water pressure. Really great location in Berlin's Mitte area that is minutes from Alexanderplatz which makes travel super easy. Walk further up to Alte Schönhauser Straße or Rosenthaler Straße for great shopping and food. Didn't include breakfast in my stay, but from walking past in the morning it looked like a good selection and well made.

Great option in Mitte and likely to come back
Great option if you don't need the extra frills, in a fantastic location. The hotel is solid and clean. Beds are comfy and there is good light in the room. Bathrooms are a bit small but neat, with good water pressure. Most importantly the hotel is in a fantastic location in Mitte, with lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance, great for a business or leisure trip to Berlin.

well-located hotel at a sensible price
This hotel is well situated very close to places to eat, shops, and transport. Unlike many hotels of its type, it has good public areas - a large bar/sitting area, and even a garden. Staff are friendly and professional

Beautiful centrally located hotel
This hotel is highly recommended not only because of its excellent central position. You have access to all parts of the city from the Alexanderplatz station which is only across the road (direct train to/from the airport in half an hour too). There are lots of very good pubs and restaurants in walking distant. The rooms aren’t huge, but the decor is absolutely beautiful. The Lounge area (where a very good continental is served with vegan and vegetarian options) is most welcoming, there also is an outside sitting area in the yard.

I always book here when in Berlin. Never disappoints. Only comment would be to update breakfast, it gets repetitive over time. Great 24/7 bar!

Centrally located hotel 5 minutes away from Alexanderplatz. Shame that the Deutsche Bahn train drivers were on strike for a 3rd time No S-bahn to the airport. Evidently this wasn't hotel's fault. Enjoyed my stay will stay there again when in Berlin.

Great place!
Less thsn 5 mins wslk from Alexanderplatz train station. Loads of foodie places nearby and dead handy for sering the sights. Check in a was a breeze and staff really friendly and helpful. Room was compact but very clean and comfortable. Hotel very smart all over. Maybe tea/coffee facilities available in the room to improve it, but that's being a bit picky really. Didn't try their breakfast so can't comment. Looked nice as I passed it as i left though! Stay here for a lovely hotel in a great position, especially for a city break.

My room overlooked the train tracks, so if trains wake you up, maybe that is an issue for you. The pillows were a bit too hard for my taste.

The rooms were basic but functional, not quite as nice as previous Motel Ones that we stayed in. The bathroom and shower were good and the location is a very good point to access all the other parts of Berlin . There are plenty of decent bars and restaurants nearby and some of the best buildings in Berlin are only a short walking distance. We would stay here again if the price was good

Central location. Clean and great value/fast wifi
Loved this place. Super clean, efficient. Fast Wifi. Centrally located near stations, major sites, etc. Staff all friendly and spoke great English. Really happy with the comfortable room, plenty of hot water, good shower, etc. Room cozy and has air conditioning if there in summer months. Berlin city is just outside, but the rooms facing courtyard are all quiet. Didn't eat the 9 Euro breakfasts as there was a great cafe (Spreegold) across the street but the buffet looked to be good value.

Centrally located to transportation, restaurants. Single room is small compact and clean. You keep the two plastic cups initially provided for the whole duration of your stay, even if obviously used. the towels do get refreshed however.

Small basic room, but it was comfortable and clean and quiet. Nice tiled bathroom. No room safe. Breakfast simple but good selection of cereals, cooked cold meats, cheese, pastry. Comfortable bed. Nice TV , but could not find a list of channels. Found world news channel in English by trial and error. Near to rail station for connection to airport. Wi-Fi worked and this saved me from going to the restaurant on the opposite corner of the street.

My son and I were on a short break to Berlin. Motel One was modern, with a funky turquoise and wood decor. Between two S train stations and within walking distance of Museum Island and lots of food places. Also only a €10taxi ride from the main train station. The staff were very friendly, spoke a variety of languages and full of useful suggestions. The room was bright, clean and modern, not huge but big enough. We would stay there again if we're lucky enough to return to Berlin.

I have to say that my first night of Motel One of Berlin was not a good one. The night I checked in, my room stank of cigarette smoke and I would have been responsible for the cleaning fee. I went downstairs and asked to have my room moved. They've accommodated me after they asked if I used the room and if I smoked. I found it very rude but was too tired to throw a fit. I found that the morning staff were friendlier and they recommended many things to make my first trip in Berlin easy. I really appreciated their service and my bad impression the night before disappeared. The location of this hotel is very good and very central--it is near Alexanderplatz. It is near everything, is walkable, and surprisingly quiet at night. The convenience of this place can't be beat. The beds in this hotel were a bit firm for my liking but it was a double bed, clean, and the room was bigger than I expected. The bathroom was my favorite and the rain shower was glorious! They do have a bar in the lounge area and the lounge area is pretty big but I haven't spent my time there. They also offer luggage storage WITHOUT CHARGE and I deeply appreciated this since my time in Berlin was very short. Overall, it's a good budget hotel with a great location!

Good hotel in an excellent location
This motel was very close to all transport links. Especially good for us as we were tourists. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was clean, modern and adequate for a short stay. Very good continental breakfast with a long service time.

From start to finish, a great place to stay!
Hotel staff was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. Public transportation is easily accessible. Shopping right around the corner. The room was very clean and very quiet. Breakfast was great! Our room faced the metra tracks, and we couldn't even hear it go by. I would definitely recommend Motel One for a visit to Berlin.

Great NYE stay
Big, cozy room. Next to a large train station. Reserve parking when you book if not there are plenty of garages nearby. Short walk to the Dom, Koncerthaus and Tor. Central location for reaching other attractions. Nice, inviting lounge. Will stay here again.

Great hotel, great location - excellent value
This hotel is in a great location just 5 minutes walk from the Alexanderplatz station. It is ideally situated for sightseeing - the Brandenburg Gate is around 30 minutes walk away. There are lots of bars and restaurants on Dirksenstrasse and the street running parallel behind the hotel has lots of excellent clothes shops and lovely places to eat (but unfortunately we found this the night before we returned home after eating elsewhere but it is somewhere to bear in mind for next time). The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable, the shower in our room was fantastic. There is shower gel/shampoo in the rooms but no other toiletries so take your own. There is an option to have a buffet breakfast in the hotel which we didn't have but it did look lovely, there was plenty of choice. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and approachable and nothing was too much trouble. A great hotel at a great price with a fantastic location. Highly recommended.
