Only thing good about this hotel is it's location right in the middle of Palermo soho. I had book an executive room (and paid extra $ for it) and room was not available so stayed in a different room. Checked-in at 3pm, they were still cleaning and had to wait. Internet doesn't work in rooms... Humid and moisty

Expected much more
Hotel staff was amazing, but room itselt was disappointing. They had problems with water supply, so we basically could not use shower or toilet for 2 days. Room needs some major refurbishment. It did not look a lot like what we have seen on pictures. The only good thing about breakfast was a nice coffee because the choice was very poor. Even banannas were almost black - not fresh at all.

Mistake
We stayed in the retro room. Not like the photos at all. Rooms are very very old. Our ceiling leaked majority of the time. Hard to figure out the air. Always had to call for towels. Shower leaked into the floor outside the sink. We could not wait to leave. It motivates us to get out and do lots of activities because we did not want to be in the room at all.

great location and staff but rooms need improving
Old narrow house converted to hotel so odd layout of rooms. Was pouring down in BA and the triple upstairs had patches of mould on walls so we moved downstairs and got an extra bed added. This room on the corridor had a frosted window onto hall with no curtain and the lights stayed on all night so we didn't sleep well. Also laminate floor was almost giving way in places. Staff very friendly though.

Choose a Hostel Instead
I never leave hotel reviews. However, I feel that it is important that people know exactly what they are signing up for with Blue Soho hotel. My first morning at Blue Soho, I asked the hotel staff for assistance directing the cab driver. When I went to get the taxi at 7:15, he told me he made a mistake and requested it for the wrong time. He was being extremely pushy about me using the service he had called instead of a regular taxi. All in all, this cost me 3x the price it should have, and I am sure he was getting a kickback from overcharging me. When I told the manager about this, he told me he would handle it... which he did not. My room was freezing cold. The hallway is covered, but the ceiling opens to the outside so it gets very, very cold. Although it states that there is heating in the rooms, it is extremely poor. It was not until I insisted I be moved to another room that anyone took my complaint seriously. Although the website states that there is heating in the rooms, it is extremely poor. Also, the water in the room would take approximately 10 minutes to heat up. My overall recommendation is not to stay here if you need any assistance from the hotel staff or want any sort of amenities. The pictures make the hotel look very nice, however once you step outside the lobby, it loses all of it's appeal. The location is fabulous, but I would recommend staying in a hostel. It would be the same quality of amenities and significantly cheaper price.

Disappointing
We stayed here for the last few nights of a three week holiday in Argentina. Palermo is a great area to stay in with a wide choice of restaurants, bars and shops but sadly, we were extremely disappointed with our room. We had booked an executive king early and asked for a special room as we were celebrating two special occasions. The Retro room we were given fell well short of what we had been hoping for. Everything felt very tired and worn and there was no outside window at all. Sadly, there was no alternative room available. The staff were really helpful but the room took the shine off the last few days of our stay in Argentina.

Nice neighborhood and location. Very good staff.
The hotel has a very good location, in the pleasant neighborhood of Palermo. The staff is very nice and helpful. Certainly the best features of the hotel. The unpleasant experience was in the hotel room. It had mold everywhere, and was not clean. The floor was damaged in an area near the shower, and the TV was hanging with some disturbing wires, and some more mold. Plus, the sheets had holes. I guess it was not quite what you expect when you enter a nice lobby in a good neighborhood, with a friendly reception.

Abysmal Experience
This hotel was nice at some point but has broken down significantly over the years. Neither the shower nor the lights in my room worked. There was no hot water and the room was infested with mosquitoes. Also, there was considerable black stuff (presumably mold) around the shower. It was a mess. After bringing it to management's attention, I was told that this was the room I reserved and I had to wait to see if someone would check-out in order to get into another room. After one night, I ended up leaving the hotel to stay at another location, even though I'd prepaid for my three day stay. I wouldn't recommend this hotel or return.

Great location, but poor room conditions.
For the price and what others had rated this hotel for (4/5 in Tripadvisor), the hotel is quite poor. We had a first floor room and it was not in very good condition. The wall was spotted and dirty, the floorboard was not even and peeled in some parts (you can see paper being stuffed to one of them to keep it level), we received frayed towels that doesn't seems very clean either, the A/C was extremely loud, and I found a spider in the bathtub. Not a big fan of the bathtub/shower being literally in the bedroom, leaves no privacy whatsoever and water splashes out to the floor. We had booked the hotel in advance for $84 but when I checked the price at Hotels.com at the day of, it was $48. Maybe if it was $48 and I knew what to expect I wouldn't be as disappointed. But for having a decent rating in Hotels.com and Tripadvisor and costing twice as much, it was a big let down. Long story short, we ended up booking another hotel for our second night.

This is a small hotel that is very well located. I thought my room was very comfortable and nicely renovated. There's not a lot of natural light as the rooms open onto the mezzanine due to the type of building it is but that didn't bother me. Breakfast was pretty good and they will make you a coffee whenever you like. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my stay and thought it was good value for money.

The basics in a nice area
Blue Soho is well situated in a touristy but charming neighborhood. The street can be busy so if you're looking for quiet, get one of the inner courtyard rooms. The room is small but the bed was comfortable and the sheets and pillows were crisp and clean. The water pressure was terrible so if you're looking for a great shower experience this is not it! Nice towels, good Wi-Fi, TV in the room, and a little safe to lock up your valuables The best part was the staff, they were lovely--accommodating and very friendly. We dropped our bags off early (two days!) and left our bags until late the day of check out. Breakfast was simple but fine.

Nice rooms lacking services
The hotel is nice, clean and rhe staff is friendly. However this hotel is going through renovations and the noise is terrible. Construction would begin at 730am everyday! Not to mention that there is no phone service in the rooms. There are telephones but there is no dial tone due to the fact that the hotel does not have a contract with the phone company yet. Other than that it was an ok stay.

Decent hotel
Based on price, the hotel was fine, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Everyone spoke English and that was a great help. The beds were comfortable but the room wasn't as clean as I expected. There was an empty power drink can in the room when I checked in. Basic amenities were there, breakfast was decent but small, breakfast is open for a lot of hours which is great.

Fancy hotel in a nice location
Room facilities and condition are basic standard. Furniture is basic (for instance, I had no wardrobe in the room) and the shower and washbasin area were in the room. Drainage was not appropiate and wáter would drip into the room. I felt the hotel was a bit too expensive for what it offered (however I cannot be sure of its price as I paid it thru Expedia)

Great Location, but dirty and smelly.
I picked this hotel because I'm a frequent traveller to Buenos Aires and always stay in the Palermo area due to the many Restaurants , bars and general village atmosphere. The price was good and I understand that in many cases the ratings don't reflect the hotel quality, but the usual situation in BUE is that they are better and the bad reviews are the exception. I followed the same rule this time and got burned by Blue Soho. The room was Damp and smelled of mold, so were the sheets which appeared to have been bought at the time the building was made hundreds of years ago. The wood floors were dirty and unkept, the bathrooms were grimy and the showers were peeling. As usual, the Hotels.com customer service was responsive and excellent when I complained but were not able to give me a full refund because the hotel would not work with them. They eventually moved me to a bigger room, after involving Hotels.com, but the same problems persisted. This Hotel is in a great location, but I will never return unless serious renovations are undertaken . The Argentine employees were wonderful and visibly embarrassed by the condition of the hotel when I complained and to their credit tried to accommodate me to the best of their ability by switching rooms. However, the larger room suffered from the same deficiencies. Save yourself the aggravation.

Great location, lack of maintenance
The location is great, but the hotel needs some painting job and maintenance, specially in the showers. I couldn´t take a shower the day that I Arrived and had to wait until the next day to be changed of room. The other room that they offered me on the first day had the hot water knob broken. The guy in the front desk was rude and didn´t give me any solution until next day.

Beautiful space. good service and great location. The Colombian guy in the reception is really nice and helpful. But unfortunately the room was a little disappointing. Mainly because I think this is an old building and it smells like humidity. Also the pipes in the bathroom had a really bad smell. Sad, because the place have everything to be a great accommodation.

DO NOT STAY... TRUST ME.
I HATED this hotel. As did my girlfriend and her brother. I dont have enough time to write everything that was wring so ill just give u a few. Broken toilet making constant noise. Requested a fix a never happened. RUDE workers. Make that worker. There is only one person on the hotel staff. Yes ONE. Unreal. THe night worker said no prob to chek out late. Next morning got kicked out early. Awesome. The walls are paper thin. Everytime the guy in the next room took a crap i thought i was gonna drown. No pool, no windows, no patio or terrace as advertised. The SMALLEST room ever... The list goes on i could be here all night. Oh... No lights in room. Soooo dark

You can't beat the location. It's in the middle of shops and cafes and bars and restaurants. A very happening area (Palermo soho). The rooms may be a little small for some but we liked it. Definitely not too cramped. If you've ever stayed in a NYC hotel, you've probably seen worse. And it was clean and the AC worked great. The staff was also really nice and helpful.

More charm than substance
The hotel itself is very charming, the staff very courteous, but it's lacking that certain polish to make it a must visit hotel. Our first room was tiny, on the loud first floor. We upgraded to one of the bigger, more private rooms, which was a little nicer. But there was still some wear and tear on the interior and exterior that needed some better maintaining. It's location is ideal though, located in the heart of Palermo Soho, close to great shopping and dining. Check out Don Julio!

Great Location but not for a light sleeper
Blue Hotel Soho is in an amazing location but has some short comings. We stayed here for 4 nights which included a sat and sun of a long weekend. Due to the location and proximity to pubs, bars and clubs comes noise till the early hours. We stayed in the N (natural) room which is upstairs in the upper right corner. The room was a bit stuffy and the air con was very loud so we couldn't sleep with it on and the noise outside meant we couldn't open the door to the balcony. There was also a constant drilling noise coming from next door, which while it wasn't overly offensive it was enough to keep you awake. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nearest subway (subte) is about 8 blocks (15 min walk) but cabs are cheap and plentiful if you have had enough walking. To sum up, If you are a night owl and a heavy sleeper than this place is great due to its location, but if you are light sleeper then maybe look elsewhere.

Good Location , not great rooms
Location is good if you want to explore Palermo Neighborhood. If you enjoy walking it is great, you can walk 7 blocks to get to "subte" (subway). Rooms are small; I personally didn't like that shower is in the middle of the room without curtains or anything, so it gets cold. Reception is nice, but I'll rather have a little more attention to details on the rooms, such as having fresh towels every day (which didn't happen). Staff is helpful, and breakfast is average, but a good option if you want to save some time and money.

Great Hotel ......BUT
Without doubt a great location as you fall out into the hip and trendy shopping and eating area of Palermo Soho and the staff and service was excellent. But there is construction work going on at the moment in the next building and after a long trip from Europe I could not get any sleep. Also I saw the special online and booked because the photos looked great as a treat but I agree with the other reviews it has the feeling of a hostel. The standard room I had has the bathtub in the room and the tall height of the room and thin walls gives you that hostel feeling. But ......The internet was great and free which is a great change these days I would say if you want the area, stay here, but maybe upgrade maybe to the executive rooms ! Room Tip: They are offering if you pay cash there is a 15% discount

Construction next door
The room that they rented to me should not have been rented to anyone. Right on the other side of the wall there was a lot of construction going on----nothing quite like the sounds of hammers when you are trying to sleep. The front desk offered to move me for a night out of that room but would have to move me right back in to the room right next to all of the constution noise---and so there wasn't anything that they could do. Though everyone at the hotel was friendly, in America no hotel would be able to rent out the room that they rented to me with all of the construction going on right next door---this was very painful, especially my first day in town when all I wanted to do was to get a good night's sleep after a long journey to Buenos Aires.

Blue Soho Buenos Aires-Good for Single Traveler
The Blue Soho Hotel in Buenos Aires was a perfect choice for me, a single traveler. It is in a lively part of the city filled with wonderful restaurants, cafes, and shops. The staff at the hotel was very helpful and responsive. They made my stay very comfortable- arranging a city tour, an airport transfer, restaurant reservations. This is a small boutique-like hotel on a quaint tree-lined street. Both the hotel and neighborhood are really charming.

Perfect Location, Near Perfect Stay
Palermo - and specifically the area where the Blue Soho is situated - is the hippest area in the city. If you want old-school, classic, "Paris of South America" Buenos Aires, this isn't it. If you want hip cafes, boutiques, a Kiehl's store a block away, awesome empanada shops, the hottest restaurants in the city, you can't go wrong in Palmero Soho (N.B. There's a huge difference btw Palermos - Soho, Alto and Hollywood). The rooms are small and a tad cramped, but you're not in BsAs to stay in your room. In that respect, and for the price, it's a great stay. Enjoy! And be sure to hit La Salamandra Mozzarella and Dulce de Leche Bar right next door. :)
